WWF NEWS

The WWF is in negotiations to get WWF programming broadcasted in Chile, and other South
American countries. The WWF will start being seen in Germany with their new German TV deal on
12/12/98.

However, he also said that this situation has his status questionable and his chances of going to Texas are "fifty-fifty". According to Shane, he spoke briefly with his mother, Linda, yesterday, but he has not talked to his father since last Monday.

WCW NEWS

WCW is going to do an angle where Steve McMichael is really NWO Hollywood, and is their spy.
Expect Mongo to leave the Horesman sometime around WW3. Barry Wyndham will take Mongo's
place as the fourth Horesman.

Goergie Makropoulas reports that Bam Bam Bigelow has officially signed a deal with WCW. N2R
will most likely be Bigelows last match in ECW. Bigelow is being payed by WCW a huge some of
cash.

Here are the WCW House Show Results from Lubbock, Texas-10/30

Match 1
Damian, Ciclope, Psychosis d. Juventud Guerrera, Super Calo, Silver King
-Great match. Juventud got an enormous pop. It was pretty funny because Juvi would jump up on top of the ropes and everybody would cheer. Then Damian would jump up there and everybody would boo. Lots of fighting and great moves. Psychosis gets the win with the guillotine leg drop.

Match 2
Booker T. d. Wrath
-This match was not scheduled. When Booker T's music started playing the place went nuts. If I am not mistaken I think this is his first match since he left a few months ago. He was excited and wrestled a great match. It was an even fight with both guys getting big pops from the crowd. Booker T won with that spinning roll-up thing he does when the guy runs under him on the ropes (kind of hard to explain).

Match 3
Ernest "The Cat" Miller d. Prince Iaukeau
-Ernest got the most heat of the night. Prince Iaukeau came out and flipped off Miller. Miller told the Prince that he would kick the hell out of him just like Missouri is going to tomorrow against Texas Tech. This got a lot of heat. He then gave the Prince 5 seconds to leave but kicked him in the stomach on 3. Another good match (there were no bad ones tonight). The best part was when Miller kicked the ref Mickey J in the back of the leg and when Miller turned his back the ref kicked him and knocked him down. The Cat won with his kick.

Match 4
Dean Malenko d. Kanyon
-Kanyon did his "Who's better than Kanyon?" thing. Malenko came out to an enormous pop. Great match. A little ways into it Raven came out. Malenko got Kanyon in the Cloverleaf but Kanyon got the rope. Kanyon accidentally splashed the ref and both of them were knocked out. Raven jumped in and Evenflow DDT'd Malenko and left. Kayon covered Malenko but Malenko kicked out. Malenko got up and got the Cloverleaf on in the middle of the ring and Kanyon tapped out.

Intermission

Match 5
Eddie Guerrero and Chavo Guerrero Jr. d. Disco Inferno and Alex Wright
-Disco came out to a mild pop. Alex Wright was booed terribly. Alex got on the mike and told us that Texas is "shitty." Disco and Alex got out a package of Tortillas and started throwing them into the crowd. (Note: The tradition at Texas Tech is to throw tortillas at all of the football games.) This proved to be a HUGE mistake because people threw stuff into the ring for the entire match. Eddie and Chavo came out to a huge pop and Chavo had Pepe with a sheet over him to look like a ghost for Halloween. It was quite funny. This match was pretty close with a lot of cool moves. Chavo Tornado DDT'd Disco and then Eddie frogsplashed him and got the win.

Match 6
Konnan vs. La Parka (DQ'd)
-La Parka came out with his chair and did the La Parka Polka in the ring. Konnan came out and the place went completely wild. They had a pretty even match (as all of them were). Stevie Ray came out midway through but left. After a while he ran into the ring and hit K-Dawg as he was putting the Tequila Sunrise on La Parka. Stevie Ray was pounding on Konnan when Kevin Nash ran out. Nash got the mike and challenged Stevie and La Parka to a tag match. La Parka got the mike and said something about the N.W.O. or the L.W.O. but no one knew what the heck he was saying. Konnan got the mike and told La Parka to get his money back on his English lessons which got a huge pop. He then told La Parka and Stevie Ray that he was "going to work them over like a nice piece of snatch," which got another cheer from the crowd.

Match 7
Kevin Nash and Konnan d. Stevie Ray and La Parka.
-This match was great and ended with K-Dawg putting Stevie Ray in the Tequila Sunrise and Nash Powerbombing La Parka.

Here is the ECW TV Recap for 10/20/98.

This was the final ECW TV show before their next PPV, November To Remember (N2R), set for November 1, 1998, in New Orleans, so was used as a set up for it. Videos and music from the newly released ECW Album, Extreme Music, were shown and played throughout the program.

The program opened with a clip from last weeks program of the match between Balls Mahoney and Masato Tanaka v. The Dudley Boyz, Bubba Ray and D-Von, won by Balls and Tanaka. See my ECW TV Report, October 23, 1998, for compete details.

After the regular ECW opening was run, Joey Styles was at the announcers desk. He noted that N2R is this Sunday and gave part of the card:

Battle Of The Triple Threats
Shane "The Franchise" Douglas, Chris Candido and Bam Bam Bigelow, v.
Rob "Mr. Monday Night" Van Dam (RVD), Sabu and Taz
Jerry Lynn v. Lance Storm, with Two Special Guest Referees, Mikey Whipwreck Tammy Lynn Fytch

The first match was for the ECW World Tag Team Championship, pitting RVD and Sabu (C), accompanied by their Manager Bill "Fonzie" Alfonso, v. Balls Mahoney and Masato Tanaka. On their way to the ring, Balls and Tanaka were savagely attacked by The Dudley Boyz. Bubba Ray and D-Von blasted both of them in the head and face with chairs, as Sign Guy and Big Dick looked on. The first few shots got our first "Oh, my G-d" of the show from Joey Boy. After they were busted wide open and bleeding profusely, we got four (4) more "Oh, my G-d's" from him. It had to be a record for action that was not part of a match (maybe even for a match!). Several referees and wrestlers came out from the locker room to help Balls and Tanaka as we went to a commercial.

When we returned, Fonzie was in the ring and told The Dudley Boyz that if they wanted a title shot that badly, they could have it right then and there. Being smarter than the average bear (although not by much), Bubba Ray (BBR) and D-Von took Fonzie up on his offer and rushed into the ring. All four of them went at it and the action was faster than you could imagine. We saw a Double Side Kick by RVD and Sabu on BBR, a Hurricanrana by Sabu on D-Von, and Rolling Thunder by RVD and Sabu on BBR. The Dudley Boys were sent to the floor and Sabu hit BBR with a Baseball Slide and Air Sabu onto D-Von. At the same time, RVD hit BBR with a Springboard Plancha. We were seeing RVD and Sabu at their best. RVD and Sabu threw BBR and D-Von back in the ring and laid them side by side in the center. They mounted opposite turn buckles and hit a Double Splash, RVD on BBR and Sabu on D-Von. They followed with a series of chairs shots to the heads of the Dudley Boyz who were reeling, as the match was all RVD and Sabu at this point. Sabu came off the top turn buckle with a chair shot to D-Von's head. We broke for a commercial.

When we returned, RVD hit BBR, who was out on the floor, with a Springboard Somersault Plancha. Sabu was up on the top turn buckle for another aerial move when Douglas and Candido hit the ring and blasted him. Candido hit him with a Spike Pile Driver and Douglas applied a Reverse Full Nelson. They were concentrating on his previously injured neck. Taz came out and headed towards the ring to help Sabu. He was cut off by Bam Bam and they went at it. Douglas and Candido joined Bam Bam and made it a 3-On-1 against Taz. As this was going on, BBR and D-Von got back into the ring and hit Sabu with The 3-D (Dudley Death Drop), pinned him and won the Tag Team Title. Sabu was out cold as the crowd chanted his name.

Winners - The Dudley Boyz, Bubba Ray and D-Von and new Tag Team Champions.

We saw Axl Rotten in the locker room as he challenged The Dudley Boyz to a Tag Team Title Match at N2R, on behalf of Balls and Tanaka.

The next match was Jack Victory v. Tommy Rodgers. Victory was accompanied to the ring by Justin Credible, Credible's Manager "The World's Sexiest Man," Jason, Rod Price and The Blonde Bimbo's Bimbo, Chastity. The other member of this wonderful group, The 200 pound She-Male, Nicole Bass, was not there. She must have been away undergoing further gender testing. (If this group were in WCW, they could form the AWO, @$$Hole World Order). The match began with the usual exchange of pleasantries and punches. Victory was thrown to the floor where Rodgers bounced him face first off the Time Keepers table, uglying (is that a word)? up the table. He followed with the requisite chair shot to Victory's head. Price came over, innocently of course, and took a chair shot for his efforts. Back in the ring, Rodgers gave the customary 10 shots to the head as he had Victory in a corner. The crowd kept count so Rodgers was sure to get the 10 in. He followed with a DDT. Victory fought back valiantly, with a Low Blow, causing Rodgers to wonder why he got into wrestling. As Rodgers leaned against the ropes counting his private parts, Victory charged him, but Rodgers finished his inventory and sent Victory over the top rope and thru the Time Keepers table. The Time Keeper immediately got on the phone to The Acme Table Company and ordered a replacement. Rodgers then leaped over the top rope onto Victory and Price, who had come over to check on Victory. We went to a commercial at this point.

When we returned, they wee back in the ring and Victory was pounding Rodgers. He hit Rodgers with a Suflex and raked his eyes across the top rope. Victory distracted the referee and Price strangled poor Tommy over the top rope. After another series of punches by Victory, Rodgers recovered enough to hit The Kamikaze, but Price came in to prevent a pin. Victory blasted Rodgers with a chair (sure is a lot of that going on). After some additional mugging, Victory hit Rodgers with a Suflex and put him out of his misery. Price came into the ring and joined Victory for some post match fun at Rodgers expense. Not to left out in the cold, Justin Credible came in and blasted Rodgers in the head with his Singapore Cane, as Victory and Price held him. Tommy Dreamer charged in (you had to see this coming, or else you haven't been paying attention). He hit Victory and Price with a Double DDT, as Credible headed for the high country. Dreamer and a Mystery Partner will meet Credible and Victory at N2R. The match was followed by a series of clips showing the history behind this upcoming match.

Winner - Jack Victory

We saw a series of clips highlighting Sabu being attacked several times in the past by The Triple Threat, with Douglas going after Sabu's neck.

Styles again reviewed the card for N2R, noting that the Dudley Boyz will be defending the Tag Team Title against Balls and Tanaka. This is the 4th time they have held the Title.

The Triple Threat came to the ring, accompanied by The Head Cheerleader, Francine, who was looking fine as usual. The crowd mocked Douglas as he grabbed the mic. He said they are "the real Triple Threat," as the crowd continued to taunt him. He responded by calling them "Jackasses." He said RVD's Belt (the ECW TV Title) "doesn't mean s**t," that Taz' Title (the FTW Title) "is not real," and the Sabu "has no belt, thanks to The Triple Threat." Francine took the mic and delivered a minute of bleeped stuff to the crowd. (here I thought Francine was an Apple Pie kind of girl that you bring home to daddy. Oh well, live and learn). Douglas continued his rant about how they would beat RVD, Sabu and Taz at N2R.

We saw New Jack in the "hood," where he said he was Dreamers Mystery Partner at N2R and didn't care about anything other than putting the hurt on Credible and Victory. He told them to show up and he would take good care of them. New Jack was standing on steps as he spoke. Price and Victory came up from behind and Victory hit New Jack over the head.

Styles hyped the PPV, saying the Dudley Boyz could never beat RVD and Sabu by themselves. He said Balls and Tanaka had gone to the hospital and had probably sustained concussions as a result of the earlier assault by The Dudley Boyz. He said that Douglas had paid off The Dudley Boyz to get RVD and Sabu.

We saw a series of videos highlighting the wrestlers who will be appearing at N2R. This was shown to the music from the Extreme Music album.

The program closed with Tommy Dreamer talking about this being his third trip to New Orleans. On his first, he lost his girl (Beulah McGillicutti, hit by The 3-D, by The Dudley Boyz and injuring her neck), and on his second, he was laid out. He told Credible and Victory not to worry who his Mystery Partner is, that they will have a November to remember when he finishes with them
