Many people think DOS is a 'Microsoft only' thing and that it has vanished the moment Microsoft launched Win95. But there have always been alternatives, and these companies continue DOS development.

DRDOS

The first DOS ever, once created by Microsoft for IBM and also sold as MSDOS. MSDOS is dead, but IBM continues PCDOS development.
