Spam Alert!
It is 11 Jan 2003, and I got something like 12 emails which were "undeliverable mail" return receipts from various mail servers. I knew something was wrong because I haven't sent a mass mail (to people I know) in a while. I just checked out a few, but they all look like they're some spam related to enlargement of a certain male organ. When I examined further, I checked the headers of the supposed returned messages. The "From:" fields contain some random name with my Yahoo! email address. If you received such an email apparently originating from my address, I am sorry, but believe me, it's not from me. The act of faking the sender address is called spoofing, and, unfortunately for receivers of spam, it's easy to do with simple mail programs.
Like all spam, please just delete this message and move on. That's what I do. Never respond to spam, because it only flags your email address as a valid one, resulting in more spam. Again, I apologize for the behavior of this/these individual(s), but I have nothing to do with them, and I advise all of you who receive spam to just delete them. Not much else can be done. I've already notified Yahoo! of this problem, but I'm not sure what they can do. This alert page is simply here to address this problem and to apologize for someone else's behavior. Have a nice day.
