Chester City are the latest side to drop into the Conference from the Football League, the club is situated near the England/Wales border, the new derby game for them this season is against Northwich Victoria.
Chester have had a good season so far in the Conference adjusting well to the new challenge and at the present time they are in 5th place.
Chester's best win this season so far in the Conference has been a 4-0 win over Nuneaton Borough and their biggest defeat has been against both Hereford Utd and Rushden & Diamonds both times the losing scoreline was 2-0.
Attendances have been slowly declining over the season, the best so far been 2,860 and the lowest a worrying 1,087, all in all the average as at 12 March 2001 is 1,923.
