Firiona Vie and Galeth Veredeth, not too long past,
returned safely from the bitter lands of Kunark. All the elven civilizations and
any who would give praise to the Earth Mother rejoiced with the Champion's
comforting return and her first steps onto her home soil in several months.
Within the knights' first hours upon Faydwer, they made
petition to his majesty, King Tearis Thex, to hold court in their honor and
allow them to give a report of their journey. They were greeted by his majesty
who maintained his harsh yet regal demeanor as he was presented with his
daughter by Galeth Veredeth, once his majesty's trusted advisor. Although
Galeth's knighthood, torn from him when the news of Firiona's capture by the
Iksar was first delivered to his majesty, remains stripped from him, the humble
yet serious paladin did not seem to give it a thought. It would seem that
Firiona's safe return was enough reward for this valiant knight's noble efforts.
Shortly after court was held, Firiona ventured with several
travelers into the depths of the Lesser Faydark, where she encountered the
sacred unicorn, Equestrielle. The sacred beast of Tunare advised Firiona that
the Mother of All herself must be summoned in regard to the recent loss of The
Lifeguide, a staff given to the champion by Tunare herself. Equestrielle spoke
to Firiona of four sacred stones that must be forged by the hands of a high
priest of Tunare. The unicorn went on to explain that these stones were a
necessity in the ceremony that was to be performed in summoning the goddess.
After delivering this information, the unicorn quickly retreated into the depths
of the forest, leaving Firiona to complete the task placed before her.
Firiona returned to Felwithe to inform her king and mentor.
Understanding well the nature of the stones, King Tearis Thex took it upon
himself to direct the high priests of Felwithe to construct the needed stones,
although it will take several days for their completion.
Exhausted from her travels, Firiona bade adieu to those who
had accompanied her to speak with the unicorn and disappeared into the palace,
promising that she would return shortly to her brethren.
Every corner of Norrath feels much safer with the champion
freed from her chains, but still the elements of sorrow and anguish seem to have
become an eternal, impenetrable shroud looming over all existence. Balance must
be restored, as every moment of time, creation, and destruction that pass will
further tilt the scale to discord and chaos.
