The story so far :  What is Death Lands ?

    The world as we know it ended in January of the year 2001 and Death Lands is based on the post holocost era of 100 hundred years after what is referred to as skydark when the world went black due to atomic, subatomic, nuclear bombs.  Survival is only for the fittest and only if they have no remorse, qualms, or misgivings about taking a life.  Life is cheap, it can be bought for a handful of jack or a drink of home brew or a shot of jolt.  Into this land comes redemption at the point of the sword, the slice of a knife, a gunshot, or by hand delivered by Ryan Cawdor and his crew.  What made this land?  What made the man and his friends who and what they are?  Read and you shall know.

    Death Lands is a THE words for a world destroyed, our world, as we would never recognize it.  Also referred to as the long chill, skydark, the holocaust and other descriptive names.  Essentially it is the time in which the leaders of 2001 went mad, destroying themselves and most of the world, leaving rare areas that are inhabitable, some not so and some entirely uninhabitable.  For one hundred years after skydark the land has refreshed itself, rejuvenated, but barely, it has survived.  Hot Spots also know as radiation (rad) areas still exist, festering the land with invisible death if one gets too close.  The formation of the USA (see map) has changed from what it once was, California almost gone, the great lakes actually redefined, the east coast barely recognizable.  Weather conditions were affected to extremes, hot where once it was cold, cold where hot, hot hotter yet and cold beyond endurance.  Areas of heat in the centre of snow covered mountains which were never there in the old maps but  have sprung from the rage of nuclear weapons.  Now the land is explained, the knowledge of damage beyond anything ever imagined, but what of the inhabitants of this world, who are they, how did they come to be, what are they like?  Read on my friends and enter a new world.  Death Lands !
