A Funny yellow Bird....But don't you ever underestimate it. At the first time I played Final Fantasy I didn't give much attention to chocobo. For me this yellow funny looking bird just for transportation to across the lake located near the chocobo Billy farm, and the worst part was I sold the CHOCOBO LURE MATERIA !!!! Can you imagine that !! Then I realize that I was verry stupid. Then at the second time I played. I didn't wanna miss a thing in this game, I thought to My self I had to refeal all secret and finish this game !!! Then I'm start looking for information about this chocobo.

Then I did found something very usefull about this chocobo, I'm starting to know that this animal can be breed in this game. Ok at this part I'll tell you how it works. Breeding chocobo is not exactly easy. It requires pation, a lot of time and a lot of money, and I DO MEAN A LOT OF TIME !! So be prepared hehehehe.

First thing first, once you have the highwind go ahead and find choco Bill's stables. Go into the house and purchase all stables that avaliable (this will cost quite a bit of money but you will have a room to breed). Now equip a member in your parti with the CHOCOBO LURE materia and set it out to catch some chocobos......

Fist you'll need a Blue and Green chocobo. But before you get them you should know that there were certain types of chocobos and where to get them. Here are the types:
1. Useless chocobos (Standing and swaying with it's tail)
2. Bad Chocobos (Walking with head down)
3. Walking Chocobos, walking with head up
4. Running Chocobos, Running with head up
5. Dashing Chocobos, Running with head down, extremly fast

And where to get them:
1. Walking Chocobos = Southeast of Golden Saucer.
2. Running Chocobos = Southern Island (Where Cloud was in coma)
3. Dashing Chocobos = Northern Continent (Western Side)

Now That you know where they are, Follow this steps to successfully breeding a Golden Chocobo....

First Catch 4 chocobos. A male and female walking, A male and Female running. Now go to the patch of green on the northern continent below the chocobo sage's house...Equip STEAL materia. Wait until you're attacked by a Red Dragon, steal from it. You must steal Carob Nut. Steal two of them and head back to the stables. Save and breed the male walking with female running, You should get a green (mountain) chocobo. If you didn't reset the game and try again. If you continiusly fail getting the chocobo you might wanto to try racing the two parents a little more. Also make sure you are feeding the Carob Nut when you feed it. Now breed the Female walking and male running for a Blue (River) Chocobo. If you are successfull save again.

Now you should have all you stables full so release them EXCEPT FOR THE BLUE AND GREEN CHOCOBO !!!! Now get out and get another Carob Nut. Here comes the wait, wait until the two chocobos (By the way make sure the blue and the green have different sexes, so you can breed them together) Mature so you can breed them. Save and breed with the carob nut. The offspring should be A BLACK CHOCOBO. If so continiu on to the next step....

Now go to an Island in the northwest corner of the map there sould be some forest there. Land and wait until you are attacked by Goblins to see the exact location click here, and steal from them. You will hopefully steal a ZEIO Nut. If so go to the northern continent and catch a DASHING chocobo. Once you have done that save. Race the chocobos as much as you can. When your black chocobos become ready to breed, breed it with dashing chocobos. The offspring should be a legendary GOLDEN CHOCOBO. Once you have done that continiu on to the final step.

There is in island at the top northeast corner of the map, to know the exact location click here. The island will not be shown on the map. But it's there ride your Golden Chocobo to there and cross the montains. Now get off and enter the cave in the island. You should find a red materia. That Materia is KNIGHTS OF THE ROUNDS !!!!!!!!!!! An awsome materia that can inflict a total exactly 129.987 hit !!! in thirteen hit each hit 9999 (if you level magic/AP high).

And those are the secret breeding Gold Chocobo enjoy your new mode of travel :P
