The Shinra Electric Power Company is a large corporation that pretty much runs the planet. They have a monopoly on the power, the waterways, and the gas pipelines of the world. They also have millitary and pollitical power and have develloped millitary power including biological weapons and a space program. They build gigantic Mako draining power plants in city's such as Nibelheim and Midgar. Five years ago their plant in Nibelheim exploded, killing most of the residents of the town including the wife of Barret Wallace who is the current leader of the terrorist group Avalanche, leveling the entire town. This incident also resulted in the apparent death of Sephiroth, the greatest soldier on the planet. The Shinra reactor in Midgar city was recently destroyed in a terrorist attack by the Avalanche. The company has no concern for the planet's well being therefore the Avalanche is dedicated to stopping them at every turn.

The Left Side was the picture of the organization chart of Shinra Corperation. I will list them from above:

I. The President Shinra

Was the first leader of Shinra Corporation including the founder of Shinra corp. The Way he runs the company was by the power of his money. But then He was killed in the accident which cause by Sephiroth and his son rufus the one who take place.


II. Rufus Shinra

He replaced his father after his father died in accident. He was much more terrifying than his father more brute. He rule the company by fear and using the Turks to impliment his commands.


III. Palmer (From The Left)

He was the president of Galactic devellopment in Shinra Corp. He was the one who build rocket and planned to fly it to the galaxy and choose cid as the captain of the rocket project. But then failed and shinra never continiu the project.


IV. Scarlet

Scarlet was the only woman has high power in shinra organization. She was the president of weapons devellopment (Wow woman handling heavy weapon devellopment ??? :P)


V. Heidegger

Heidegger was the President of Public Welfare, and controling the army You can say that He was the Shinra's General. He controls the Turks, and often work together with Scarlet.


VI. Prof Hojo

Hojo was the President of Chemical Development. He was the one who conducting experiment with Cloud and Sephiroth.


VII. Reeve

Reeve was the President of Municipal Development. If I'm not mistaken He was the one who control Cait Sith (Cait Sith is a robot).


VIII. The Turks

The Turks are an elite force in shinra. That usually does most of the "dirty work" for Shinra. You can say that they were the assasinator of Shinra.

Tseng (From the left)

Tseng was the leader of the turks, though he does not go on group missions with the other Turks. He has been pursuing Aeris since her childhood for Shinra, and harbors feelings for her. His career was cut short by Sephiroth in the Temple of the Ancients (much to Elena's sorrow).

Elena

The only female member of the turks and least experienced. She was promoted when Reno was injured by cloud and his party She is very responsible about her job but constantly has to be reminded to keep her mouth shut and her emotions invisible. She has feelings for Tseng, who asked her out for dinner before he died.

Rude

The Bold guy in the turks and he allways use his sunglasses and mostly hang out with reno. He trows granade and use gun as his weapon He hardly ever says anything, but Reno pried his secret love interest out of him...Tifa! He and Reno were responsible for killing the infinitely disgusting Don Corneo.

Reno
And the last turks and the coolest one was reno, he use nightstick as his weapon and he has spiky red hair and allways wields a nightstick on his shoulder. He love drinking and gossiping with Rude and allways talk about who he likes and who's the one rude like (I think it's about female :P)
