Camping is one of the lowest forms of gaming! Siting there behind a corner, waiting for some unfortunate little player to get whiped. A word of warning! If it's a pro comming round the corner, they'll jump your rocket and give it you back! :-) Never CAMP

Rocket Jumping is a word that makes you prowd! Just the thought of it send fear into the minds of those Camper! Rocket Jumping is a very easy to do but hard on the move tecnique. It requiers you looking down a firing a rocket into the ground, then jumping straight after. Normaly pushing jump and fire at the same time is suficent enough! Rocket Jumps (or even worst, BFG 10K Jumps on Q2) are the thing that sperates you from the weeds.

TIP: Make sure you have RED Armour and 100% health, and use the mouse (see how to contral).

Strafing was what we did well in Doom\Doom2, but now everones for gotten how to strafe! It's such a shame because now you can Circle strafe for profection! To Circle Strafe you'll need to use the Contral Setup featured in the next chapter. Fist you need to practise it around a monster! You need to swing you view so that the player\moster is in the center of the screen then just keep moving forwards. Don't forget to keep altering the view because the player\monster will keep moving off screen.
TIP: If you being circle strafed just select the rocket launcher and A. Rocket Jump VIRTICAL and then at the top of the jump fire! (requiers practise) B. Say sorry and wait for his next pass. Then fire.. You'll proberly kill you self and him but your frags won't change if you kill him, because his frag makes up for your suicide!

Controls may not sound that important in Quake, but they are! Heres the best possible setup adopted by hundreds world wide!

    Q      W      E
    A      S      D

W = Move forward
S = Move back
A = Strafe Left D = Strafe Right Q = Cycle weapons
R = Jump
MouseButton1 = Fire
MouseButton2 = Jump (two jumps are useful)
Note: +mlook most be on (via the console). Then just use the mouse to turn.
