The Heart of the Home...You begin to turn round and round as you stand in the heart of this great room. Everything spins around like a giant kaleidoscope. You turn faster and faster, trying to regain, even if only for a moment, the joy you found in dizziness as a child. You stop spinning and try to walk forward. The room falls around you, and you laugh to yourself as you land on the floor. Childlike laughter echoes from outside... After a short rest to regain your composure, you begin to browse. Against the wall opposite the fireplace is an old wooden desk. On it lies a bottle of ink and a feather pen. Above the desk is a bookshelf just overflowing with books, including an old, leatherbound notebook. You smile as you read some of the titles: Les Misérables, The Canterbury Tales, The Glass Menagerie, A Doll House, The Iliad... You take one of the books in hand and move toward the window. A wooden rocking chair seems to have been placed there for your repose. This room is the heart of Ellie's Cabin. It posesses all the warmth and comfort of home...
