As you follow the path in the woods, you get the distinct feeling that you are not alone. Sweet music drifts between the trees, and you can smell a campfire burning somewhere deep within the woods. You can almost taste the unforgettable medley of chocolate, graham cracker, and roasted marshmallow as the smoke rises up high above the path ahead. By now you are aware that this path leads to a place of fellowship: A place where friends can gather and delight in each other's company. |

The path leads to a little white gate. You open it and pass beneath an archway covered with ivy and wild rose. Old gnarled grape vines still cling to the trellis of the flowered arch. On the other side of the fence is a sign. It is a welcoming sign. You know you are on the right path. As you continue on your way, your heart lifts. You can hear laughter. The rustling of the wind in the trees is comforting; It sounds like the voices of angels, and it lifts your spirits. |

The path narrows as you approach Ellie's cabin. It is small, made of logs and red brick. There is smoke rising fom the chimney: Someone must have built a fire in the fireplace. You open the door. The smell of hot chocolate and warm spiced apple cider welcomes you. You walk into the foyer of the cabin. It is much larger than it looks from the outside, but it still retains it's coziness. You can see the fire burning in the hearth in the next room. It appears to be a library. |
|
You go to an open window to look outside. The smell of flowers drifts in from the garden. How strange! Tulips and roses in bloom at the same time! 'This place must be magical', you think to yourself. While you are still lost in thought, something scurries across the path through the garden. It looked almost human! "I must be seeing things", you say to yourself. "It was probably a mouse or something... But it had wings!" You wonder what other magic Ellie's cabin has to share. You know that you are not alone!!! |
Before you leave, you want to find a way to leave your mark and to thank Ellie for her hospitality. You see the guestbook and comment book beside the door. You take a moment to sign before leaving Ellie's cabin. |
