Homemade White Bread
     
 
Dissolve all except Flour. When dissolved add flour. Mix thoroughly. Knead
Let rise til double in size. Knead again. Let rise again. Knead again put into loaves.
Let rise one more time. Then Bake in oven at 350   for about 45 min.    ovens vary.

Sour Gravy
(This is great on yellow cake, pour on individual pieces like a gravy)
stir constantly till bubbly and then add vinegar and cinnomon to taste.

Banana Bread
pinch of baking powder.
dash of salt.
Options/Add raisins, nuts
Bake at 350 for about an hour

No Bake Choc. Oatmeal Cookies
boil for at least 2 minutes. test in cup of cold water for texture. hard ball means it's ready.
Then add 2 cups raw oatmeal
Spoon onto wax paper or cookie sheet. Will harden as they cool.

Hollandaise Sauce
(really easy...)
Dash of white pepper
Cut butter into thirds and bring it to room temp.
in the top of a double boiler (I use 2 small sauce pans one on top of the other with about an inch of water in the bottom one)combine egg yolks, water, lemon juice and a dash of salt. Add one piece of butter at a time stirring constantly until completely dissolved, continue with remaining butter one at a time untill all is dissloved. sauce will thicken as the process progresses.
Immediately remove from heat. Is sauce is too thick  or curdles add 1 tbl. of Hot Tap water. Serve with veggies, fish or eggs. (Like eggs benedict. or Pinwheels.
or Poached Salmon.)

     Caesar Salad
 
few dashes of tabascoand Worchestershire sauce
dash of pepper
Allow egg to come to room temp. To coddle egg add egg in shell to boiling water for one miute.remove from heat. cool slightly. Cut garlic clove in half length wise. Rub a large wooden salad  bowl  with garlic . Discaord garlic. Add oil, lemonjuice, Hot  and worchestershire sauces to bowl Break coddled egg into bowl Using fork or whisk beat until creammy. Add romaine Toss and coat. Sprinkle with croutons. Parmesan cheese and pepper toss to mix. Top with anchovies (optional)

      Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo
(can substitute chicken strips)
black pepper
Let cream come to room temp. Cook Fett. Drain well. Return Fett to hot sauce pan Add cream Cheese and  1 tbl. butter Toss gently until Fett. is well coated.Keep warm.

Sautee  Shrimp in fry pan with  minced garlic and butter. Only a few minutes shrimp cook quickly, and toughen when over done. Add shrimp to Pasta mixture and Toss together. Serve immediately.


Spinach Pin Wheels
Flank Steak
Frozen chopped spinach, thawed
Pound flank steak, for tenderness. until about 3/4 inch thick. Place bacon lengthwise on steak. Spread spinach over bacon. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Roll up and pin with sticks. slice into 1 inch slices place in broiler cook for 3-5 minutes  flip over roll and cook again for another 3-5 mintues. Serve with Hollandaise Sauce.

 
Beef Stroganoff
small cam mushroom,drained
Sautee all in frying pan, Then stir in :
small can tomato sauce
Pour over cooked noodles And serve.

Breakfast Casserole
Fry Bacon and onion together. Combine all ingrediants. Put in 9x9 inch pan.
Bake at 350 for 30 min.

Raspberry Flan
raspberry sauce (recipe follows)
Raspberries and mint sprigs for garmish (optional)
Combine milk , egges, honey and orange peel in medium bowl; stir until
blended. Pour into 4 1/2 cup buttered molds or one 3 cup mold. Place molds on rack in pan of hot water.
Bake in preheated oven 300 degree. 15 to 20 minutes for 1/2 cup molds. Or 30 -40 minutes for 3 cup mold. Or until custard is set and knife blade inseted near center comes out clean.
Cool at room temperature, then refrigerate 2 hours. Run thin blade around edge to loosen: invert onto serving plate. Spoon Raspberry sauce over each serving. Garnish with raspberries and mint sprig. if desired.

Raspberry Sauce
Reserve 12 whole berries and set aside for garnish. Place remainder in blender or food processor: process until pureed. Sieve to remove seeds , if desired. Combine with honey and orange peel in small bowl.
*****these can be substituted with blackberries, strawberries or blueberries*****

Korean-Style Beef
 
Chives for garnish
Combine wine, soy sauce, honey, green onion, sesame oil, gingerroot and garlic in baking dish. Add flank steak. Marinate, covered in refrigerator about 1 hour, turning at least once. Remove beef from marinade; discard.
On top rack of preheated oven broiler or low rack of charcoal grill over hot coals, cook to desired degree of doneness. Slice diagonally to serve. garnish with chives.

Sweet and Sour Zucchini
Combine all ingrediants in large glass, or ceramic bowl. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Drain and serve chilled or at room temp.

Pasta Primavera Salad
Salt & Pepper
Grated parmesan cheese
Heat oil and butter in large skillet over mediu-high heat; add broccoli and garlic and strir-fry 2 minutes. Reduce heat to low and add tomatoes, zucchini, carrot, honey, lemon peel and seasonongs. Simmer about 4 minutes or until vergetables are tender, stirring gently. Toss with noodles; cool. Sprinkle with Paresan Cheese.
Serve at room temperature or chilled.


Waldorf Chicken Salad
Stir together honey mustard, poppy seeds, lemon juice, lemon peel and oil in large bowl. Add apricots and let stand 30 minutes. Add chicken and toss lightly. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
To Serve add apples, celery, almonds and green onions to chicken mixture, toss to coat.
