It was a night that I’ll never forget
when my new life began.
Those fateful moments that we shared
that no other person could know or understand.

We laughed and touched one another
as we pretended to be social with our friends.
In that club house, magic surrounded us
and it’s grown much further since then.

The evening left us so poor
in terms of legal tender.
But nobody could ever be so rich as I
as we travelled westbound along route 20.

The lightning was all around us
and it lit your soft face for me.
The rain resembled the sound of music
as I watched you with sincere intrigue.

What a vicious storm we fared
as you drove with fear in your eyes.
But that night, I fell so deeply in love with you
as I admired your nervous smile.

April 15 is a day I’ll never forget
and Ebro is held in the fondest of memories.
Fate blessed me on that stormy night
with an emotion that became “forever and always.”
