Within me, you may find intrigue
or perhaps a gentleness that you’ve sought.
Deep inside me is a caring soul
and a heart that’s willing to embrace.

You might say I’m special
but I’m no different than you.
I’m a human who desires love
A human who desires to give

I’m sensitive and intense....
and this may scare you.
When I feel warm, I am not afraid to touch
nor am I afraid to cry, when I’m hurt.

I’m confused and I’m scared
because I’ve fallen short in feeding my emotional needs.
I may ask you to overlook this and take a chance
by holding my hand as I grow secure with you.

I am many things that may seem strange
Call me simple.... call me complex.
But I’m just me and I ask you not to judge
my character according to others’ standards.

If you pursue me, I ask one important thing
Remember that I strive to be unique
and my heart is not a toy
If you promise love and devotion, prepare to go the distance.
