Sunlight
How
long is the day in darkness
When my heart aches and cries out for you
How short is the night when on moonlit cloud
In blissful sleep I can hold you
I long to taste you and to drink you;
To drown in your embrace;
To stand in the midst of your sunlight
And be bathed in the warmth of your face
To walk with you to anywhere
To be your lover and friend
Oh the delight to look into your eyes
Or just to be holding your hand
Embrace me; know me; and love me;
Call to me for I'll wait
Till you call my name and I'll be there
To seal that which is our fate
And when you do we will dance
In the sunlight...and know that it's real
Find the meaning of love that we live for
And all that our hearts can't conceal
