About Me
I grew up in Odessa Missouri, except for 6 years I spent in Arizona, mainly in the Tuscon and Pheonix areas, currently I live
in Lee's Summit Missouri. I've been married to a great guy for the last 8 1/2 years and we have two handsome little boys. I'm a
stay at home mom, which works out great for the art thing. I love being available to my kids and my husband whenever they need me.
I graduated Odessa High School in 1996, back then they had a fairly impressive art program ran by Dorothy Northrup. She is undoubtedly
the biggest influence in my art to this day. Unfortunately for the school, she retired the year I graduated. I never went to art school, but
I can tell you that my highschool art education is enough to rival any college (exept perhaps schools of specialized art) and I did
take private lessons for a stint when I was 14 and 15. My grandmother was very talented at Oil painting and to this day I'm still being compared to her.
She had some pretty serious skills though so I consider it a compliment.
I have other hobby's and interest as well to keep me busy when I'm uninspired or run out of material. Some of these are gardening, fishkeeping, writing
word puzzles and webdesign. My last painting was finished in January, I've run out of photographs. I hope to get back to it soon, after I get a new
camera, or hopefully, my family will get me the pictures they took for me.
