Review of stampede
This page was made with the help and trucks of Ryan Nichols my friend. You should see him on the message board soon and can email him at [email protected]

We will have some new pictures soon. Maybe some action shots too.
Nitro Stampede
Stampede one of traxxas most powerful trucks but there are some things that may surprise you.
First the chassis it is to small I tried to put a larger fuel tank in it but it just wouldn't fit. Then there is
the gas line as soon as I put the gas in the tank you can't see were the gas is in the line so when the gas gets to the engine only way you can tell if it is in there is if you hear it go in. The body goes way to close to the shocks when the suspension bottoms out. The recoil cord seems to get very hot and melts out of the recoil starter.  I love the high ground clearance where you can go almost everywhere. I also love the speed that you can get off of ramps. It is a little to loud for what I like and thought it would be like. This truck is good for a person looking for something a little bit more of a challenge than the electric version.

Electric Stampede
This was my first truck to buy and I loved it. Most of the same features as the nitro version but it is lighter and easier to use than the nitro. It's a great truck and It has great damping. I do think it could use a little more speed than the 20turn motor that it came with. I suggest you use a speed gem 2 17turn motor. It does have bad stability.  If you have an older stampede without the slipper clutch get it!!!! It's worth it!!! Put 40 weight shock oil in the shocks for better traction and better jumping.
I also have some pictures to show you.

Nice paint job isn't it?

Look at this muffler, It is pretty loud for a muffler.

Look at the pink fuel tubing, it makes it hard to see the fuel.

You can see that this truck has great ground clearance.

Notice that there is no battery holder used. There is a tie wrap on
the receiver and a battery strap form team losi is used to hold the battery.
It's much easier than the old battery holder.
The nitro body needed some cutting or the shocks would hit the body.
Notice how the chassis is very narrow.
