New Interview!!! Super-funny shit, I promise. And it's real too. See Aquila in the interviews section.
It's becoming incredibly ridiculous how one Final Fantasy site has turned into a mainstream
piece of shit with a stupid domain, ugly content-less portals run by dotards, design rip-offs,
content rip-offs from GameFAQs, and a lowlife community full of shitheads who
do crap in their own forums and accomplish virtually nothing.
One asshole constructs this crappy Final Fantasy site and launches it under the impression
that it is going to woo tens of thousands of people when literally no one could care.
This asshole thinks he can beat his competition by basically ripping off design ideas,
coding, and content from other sites. This asshole thinks he's special and deserves
the right to act like a fucking moron on other forums because his life is too empty to
consist of any value. This same asshole thinks his site is going to revolutionize
the gaming community with design version 64039493.1 which launches with exactly what
it
had before: nothing.
It's time to promote this site, so you won't want to visit it.
If you're on this list, it's not only because your site sucks, but you're an asshole who
thinks he/she is better than everyone else and that your site is special (either by spamming
your gay site somewhere else or downing other sites from yours). Your site is not
special and neither are you.
This site is maintained by a NON-webmaster and a hardcore fan of the Final Fantasy
game itself who has
just had enough of this shit and is not represented by a single site or community, so
remove the stick from your ass. If you don't like the fact your site is on here, perhaps
you should think about where your attention needs to be focused: promoting your
crap site
by acting like a dickhead on other sites and their forums, or sitting down, shutting up,
and actually working on it.
Entries in Red are under construction, expect dead links/images missing, etc. To submit an article, prepare it as a Word Document or a somewhat formatted Text/HTML document (that way I can easily copy and paste) to the e-mail on the mailto in Submissions. If you are a FFO Admin, or someone who favors FFO, I would like to hear from you. Back up your favorite forum in an interview (AIM, YIM, or ICQ, NO MSN) by contacting me. Note that you can also request an interview in the same manner. Here is my e-mail address "[email protected]" for those of you who hate Outlook popping up.
Final Fantasy Online
The so-called king of Final Fantasy Sites. Yet it is quite clear the site isn't
even a pauper in the Final Fantasy Community. What is wrong with it? Well, first
of, let's take the forum itself. Where is the creativity. A seven year old,
who's "Hooked on Phonics" could have made their forums up. Final Fantasy VII,
Final Fantasy VIII, wait no Chat forum, no, just newbies asking the same exact
questions over and over and over and over some more. Where's the taste, where's
the life, wake me up when its through! Second, when you try to speak your mind,
or hint about another site you are BANNED. The moderators have absolutely no
mercy; go ahead and see. Sometimes you are banned the second you register,
especially if you are registering an alias with the same IP, so you can actually
ask a dumb question without being knocked off. Sure, some of the moderators
there are actually nice, and deserve to run the place, but nice people don't get
by unless you are a gerbil-loving lackey of you know who.
Now for the site. Usually when you extract the information from the game itself,
at least it is correct, but not FF Online. It is quite clear where they get
their info off of. Lowbrow walkthroughs and information guides from hapless
writers submitting their hard worked FAQs to GameFAQs.com. And no they
cannot complain since everyone will believe the "great" FFO, and claim that
same FAQ writer stole their information. And how can you tell? Take a close look
at the stuff and compare them to the game. You'll find quite a few mistakes not
even that typos can be used as an excuse. Well, concluding this commentary, one
can see why FFO counts each hit they get as 14 hits on their counter, and keeps
the number of banned members preserved in their Member Count.
Lame Rip-off
Final Fantasy Online
What a design. Perhaps FFO does have the best design of FF sites, or perhaps
not. In fact, FFOnline stole the site design of Final Fantasy Alpha. Notice how they look
similar (they were very similar a time ago), well, FFA came first. Sure, FF Online has some unique design aspects, such as the Moogle Search
engine, however, what makes FF Online different from other websites? NOTHING.
Crap Shrine
Final Fantasy Online
Shrines? Lucky for us, these guys don't have one, or we'd be worshipping the
wall you climb to get to Shinra HQ from Wall Market in FF7.
Empty & Worthless
Final Fantasy Online
If you haven't gotten the picture by now, you must be either drunk, or staring
at gerbils. Either way, FFO is the epitome of empty and worthless. Again, FFO
has nothing that separates them from other sites. Also, look at the crap on FFO. Hell, they don't even make
their own walkthroughs.
What truly makes FFO better than other Final Fantasy sites? I believe the
webmaster forgot to ask himself this when he began cutting and pasting.
Fan fiction? No. Movies? No. Music? Yes, but you can get these MIDIs from
anywhere. Of course there are sites that serve MP3s, which are far better than
MIDI, but does FFO serve their 11,000,000 divided by 14 this stuff? No. When a site that "great" doesn't have their own stuff or nothing good to show, well, they aren't "great".
