| The lineup - now and then |
Well the lineups have seen several changes since we came into existence in May 1997... Originally it started in January 1997 with jam sessions at Doris's flat in Regensburg...thanks for that... Those jam-sesions saw Uwe Heyne, Thomas "Karli" Karl, Sanni Gschnaidner, Robert Maier and me as musicians and Doris as listener... The five of us were then the first line-up in the JHH rehearsal room, with Uwe at the microphone, Sanni on the drums, Robert and Karli on the guitars and me on the keyboards...and Doris still listening A few weeks later Sanni brought a bass-player, his name was Thomas, too, (thanks Sanni), and he wasn't bad at all. But in August 1997 Sanni and Thomas went to Leicester for a semester abroad (we all were students at Regensburg University, and the others still are, though Robert has nearly finished), so we needed another bassist and drummer... The bass was no problem, I took it, but Hyde Net didn't find a drummer until the end of 1998 and I don't know if they have one now. In October Peter Breu joined us on the keyboards and Beate Pieringer improved the sound with her excellent flute. The next change came in June 1998 when Karli gave the band no chance to exist and publish (he was wrong with this) and quit, a few days before the recordings for No Rain Today started. Well, we made it anyway, and Karli wasn't replaced but Robert played both guitar parts and Uwe helped him with that. After I left for Stirling in August 1998 with two mixes of the tape on minidiscs and 25 copies on tape I was replaced by Robert Angeli, who raised the technical level of the band a lot. He said that he knew a drummer, but I don't know what happened to him... Beate also went a year abroad to Brno / Czech Republic in spring 1998, so a new flutist had to be found, too. Then Robert and Uwe started their final exams at University just when I returned, so nothing happens at the moment :-((

Allright, the tape... It was recorded and mixed at Fort Martin, Regensburg, in July 1998 by basically Robert and me. The recording took us four days and the mixing two more. The songs were composed by all band members, which means a great variety in style that should compensate the sound problems a demo generally has and the lack of drums on it. The tracklist is, click on the songs to read the lyrics... Rain Farewell To A Friend Guitar Dreams Hometown (Where Are You Going) (don't you know the name?) No Place Like Home Off/On Pawns Bright Sunny Evenings Ireland Welcome To My Heart Total playing time about 48 minutes | The tape
