Accident Repair

(Who Cares Part VI)
A night in any Western industry country
A couple is having fun, she forgot the pill
Six weeks later the woman goes to a doctor
He gives her a medicine and everything is alright
Who cares about unborn life?

For the purpose of an evening in a disco anywhere
Is meeting people and not mainly taking care
And in teh end of such an evening anyway if here or there
Might be neatly the beginning of a short and hot affair
We should think first what might come out in the end
Instead of careless action and then starting to pretend
Ignorance and innocence as long as no one can see
The result of that night that's well known as pregnancy

Even well-planned and longlasting relationships of love
Might not involve the wish to have a child so soon
The work to do all day for both is hard enough
To deserve a free and hasteless Sunday afternoon
Maybe later, when they don't go out anymore
And all their friends have babies of their own
A child wouldn't spoil their lives as it does before
So still they make love for satisfaction alone

What can we do now as we know
We cannot have a child?
No money left and anyway
Don't want to leave my job
Imagine what the people say
We victims of the mob?

The horror is to think about her fading prettiness
And additional weight she'd be carrying around
But there's a solution that leads them out of despair
She has a subscription to the gynaeocolist's spate
So she needn't worry about the future of her evening dress
And less about how the compliments would sound
They see it as an accident that is easily repaired
It's a cruel way to think about an unborn's fate

It's done now as we wished it both
No need to worry anymore
We only should take a little more care
The next time we have fun
To avoid we have once more
To do this deed we've done
