high hopes and Lila even throws a black-tie party for him. The
new basketball season is about to begin and Todd bugs epsecially

us to Reginald Patman, called Shred ...

her nightmares Lila suggests she should kiss him.

049 [3.05-96] Are You A Man Or A Mouse? / Mit Mann und Maus
Since there is no relationship any longer anyway, Liz calls it quits
with Todd - who just wanted to talk to Liz about the recent lack
of being together. His advisers Winston and Shred want to help him
getting over her. Jess finds a mouse in a box and in her excitement
accidentally releases it. She calls the exterminator only to find out
after the job is done that this mouse was Liz' research project.

050 [3.06-96] The Mondo Chill / Wie das Schicksal so spielt

that job. He hires Enid - who's still searching for a friend - as

051 [3.07-96] Surfing The Nets / 48 Stunden ohne
The clan sets up a bet: whoever manages to go without his/her 'favorite
quirk' for two days gets the pot: so no flirting for Jess, shopping for
Lila, stories about relatives from Enid, basketball stories from Todd
and sarcastic remarks from Cheryl. The first drop out is Lila after
fifteen seconds. Cut loose fishing nets cause trouble at the beach.
The initiator is identified by Peter and he already dreams about the
big story. Also Shred gets caught in this when surfing is no more fun
and he now must face his deepest fears as the culprit is no other than
his father: R.J. Patman.

052 [3.08-96] Mall Brats / Trennung von Peter
Liz and Peter seperate.
053 [3.09-96] Swish Upon A Star / Der Superwurf
An ego-centric, doesn't-care-for-others Jess drives Liz mad. And after
Jess lets slip out about Enid's surprise birthday party it's enough:
it's payback time for Liz. But nothing works ... except one thing. At
the basketball game Todd scores the winning points in the last second
with a lucky throw. From now he is the star, and with stardom his ego
flies high, too.

054 [3.10-96] The Tooth Hurts, Doesn't It? / Reggie hat's erwischt
Reggie had an unpleasant encounter with his dentist, and the reason
for his cavities is found quickly: his fondness for chocolate. While
Cheryl and Enid see that he has a problem, Reggie denies his chocolate
addiction. Todd not only is a local star, he's on the way to become
even more: 'Headline America' does a report on him. While Jess is eager
to be on TV (his friends are also interviewed about him) Todd has
jitters. He asks Liz for help.

055 [3.11-96] Rock Around The Block / Sponsor gesucht
Todd, the superstar, comes down pretty fast after his (illegally)
accepting gifts not only means being kicked from the team but also
all games in which he played are counted a loss. Of course, he has
no easy life. The downplaying statements made in the TV-interview
about the relationship between him and Liz depress and annoy Liz.
The new neighbor's garage-band troubles Jess. And after she has seen
the guy she tries to snatch him.

056 [3.12-96] Lofty Ambitions / Wie Thelma und Louise
The ongoing pranks played to the Moon Beach by a rival bar drive Winston
crazy. He decides to take action and return the pranks. After watching
'Thelma and Louise' it's time for Liz and especially Enid to 'seize the
day' and do it like them, including cliff-jumping - sort of. Jess goes
on a party with AJ.

Guest Cast : Jason David Frank ............... A.J.
057 [3.13-96] Shakes, Fries and Videotape / Ricks Rivale
With the rival bar's new prices Winston's Moon Beach is rather empty.
He decides to do a commercial, assisted by a quite unreliable Enid and
with Liz as the star. His liaison with Jess distracts A.J. and gets
him into an awkward position when his band members want him to decide
between Jess and the band.

058 [3.14-96] A Star Is Torn / Die Gewissensfrage
A.J. sees himself already working in his father's restaurant when Jess
- through Enid's connections - get a radio DJ to play the tape on air.
But helping A.J. might put an end to their relationship when the song
is a hit and a tour is looming. Liz attends a sold-out concert and
her second ticket is raffled off among her friends who also want to
go to the concert: and the winner is ... Todd.

Christmas party for poor children. The gang goes up into the mountains
on a ski trip. Lila and Jess, for whom Christmas has a way different
meaning, have a close encounter with the Christmas spirit.

make her jealous. But Todd's in trouble after he gets lost on the
hiking trip with Carrie into the woods in which he has talked himself
into. He calls Liz for help who arrives with Chad. The only one leaving,
though, is Chad after he has thrown out both, Liz and Todd, of his
car. A TV commercial suggests that Jess has supernatural powers. And
indeed it seems Jess gets everything right, the no-brainers, that is.

061 [3.17-96] All Along The Water Tower / Der Buecherwurm
While reading the novel Silos, some boy - a photographer, that is -
shows up at the door and the following days Jess and this boy by
pure chance live by the book - until the shocking truth comes out.
By accident Liz and Enid discuss the 'Liz and the boys' topic on air:
Now boys try to meet these requirements. The on-air discussion was a
little setback for Todd but he still wants to try to win her back.
But misunderstandings and Winston involvement make things harder
than they actually are. Enid's infamous relatives show up in Sweet
Valley for the 'Rollings Family Hoe-Down'.

062 [3.18-97] My Fair Shred / Stromausfall
Lila and Jess aren't invited to the glamorous 'Patman Silver&Gold Ball'
while Shred faces Military Academy. So a deal is found quickly: Shred
gets an invitation for the girls while they help Shred to ajust to
the life of the rich. Winston decided to do some promoting for the
Moon Beach, then blames himself for the power outage following the
turning on of his power-hungry letters outside the Moon Beach. Todd
and Liz argue about the way a romantic weekend looks like.

Written by : Jennifer Heftler & Lisa Page Kissig
063 [3.19-97] Sweet Valley Night Fever / Die Seventies-Party
To prove she can handle things, Jess volunteers to organize the upcoming
dance. What follows is typical Jess: the less she must do, the better -
besides the fact that she doesn't know what is really needed for a
dance. That starts with the theme - a '70s Disco Dance - which she
'steals' from Enid. Liz has other problems: For Todd 'dressing like
in the 70s' means a Larry Bird basketball dress from the 70s. And
Enid and Manny add another link in their chain of misunderstandings.
Directed by: Susan Rohrer
Written by : Peter Egan
064 [3.20-97] Crimes and Cappuccinos / Lila wird entfuehrt
Outside the Moon Beach Lila is kidnapped. What should be the perfect
plan - to blackmail her father - has only one little flaw: it's Lila
they kidnapped. Jess doesn't even notice Lila's absence with her new
best friend - Enid. With Enid now hanging out with Jess, Liz feels
neglected. Winston hits it big when he 'finds' a cappuccino machine at
the Moon Beach. It doesn't take long until the Moon Beach becomes an
'In' Coffee House and people are waiting in line to get a free place.
Directed by: Susan Rohrer

065 [3.21-97] Search For Liz / Alles nur getraeumt
Arguing about these unbelievable soaps, where a character fell into
a coma by bumping into a door, Jess gets a dose of the real thing
when exactly that happens: both her head and the door wanted to be
in the same place at the same time. An unconscious Jess dreams about
being a character in one of those daytime soaps: She finds herself
accused of killing Delilah with a clueless detective, Rod, now on
that case. An evil twin, Liz, and Jess' lover, Winslow, play foul
games. And the other characters - a doc, a nurse, a dopey officer
Manno and rocker Enid have their own soapy stories going on.
Directed by: Bradley Battersby
Written by : Peggy Nicoll & Barry Stringefellow
066 [3.22-97] Might As Well Jump / Winston, der Held
Spring break is approaching and Principal Cooper wants no pranks played
on him this time around. Unfortunately for him, the students don't
know anything about it. Jess and Lila want to spend their time in
Europe. However, one thing could spoil that: Jess scores an F on the
final test in Social Studies and faces lessons during the time off.
The basketball team and Todd, joined by Winston, want to do the
traditional jump from the cliffs at Jackson's Bluff - and risk their
lifes when the water level is unusual low.
