The plan for the day is to take the river cruise tour and visit the Tower of London. On the way, we stopped at Marks and Spencer and a few other shops. While we were shopping, a parade of canons went by. We never found out what the parade was all about, but that weekend was Remembrance Day
(similar to Veteran’s Day in the U.S.)
. By this time it was after noon and we decided to head towards the Tower to have a lunch. We took the Tubes to Westminster station and emerged at the base of Big Ben.
