Tie Interceptor and other Imperial Navy ships
TIE INTERCEPTOR

The Interceptor is faster and more maneuverable than the more used Tie Fighter, the Tie Interceptor is based on Darth Vader's Tie Advanced X1.
The Interceptor uses a standard Tie(twin ion engine) cockpit, drive pod and wing braces.
The solar daggers are dagger shaped and make the Interceptor look more menacing and dangerous.
The Interceptor is smaller than the X1 it is harder to hit.
The Tie Interceptor has more powerful drives than the Tie fighter and is almost as fast as the Alliance's A-Wing.
The Interceptor uses a new ion stream projector, with it pilots can do tight turns and rolls.
Twin-port deflectors can be manipulated individually for fine control and counter-balancing, making Tie Interceptors a superior choice in dogfights against Rebel ships.

The standard version of the Interceptor possesses four laser cannons, one at the end of each solar panel(although some have had more), advanced targeting equipment gives the pilot great firing accuracy.
Like the other TIE's, the Interceptor has little armor and no shielding.
The Tie pilots always rely on speed, maneuverability and great numbers to survive and win engagements and dogfights with Rebel fighters.

Other Ships of the Imperial Navy:


The Empire uses many ships, the most used is their dreaded cruiser, the Stardestroyer.
This gigantic battleship is packed with the most common of the Empire's fighters, the TIE FIGHTER and many other fighters like the TIE INTERCEPTOR (see above) and the TIE BOMBER.
The destroyers are armed with strong devastating turbolasers.
The Stardestroyers are capital ships and have not only a lot of fighters on board but also a garrison of Stormtroopers and a few divisions of Walkers for the attack on planets, defense and boarding of other vessels.
But these ships are nothing compared with the gigantic flagship of Lord Vader.
Darth Vader commands his fleet from the bridge of the Superstardestroyer EXECUTOR.
This gigantic war machine is at least ten times larger then a Stardestroyer and garrisoned with a few crack divisions of the Empire's men.
On board there is also a the personal fighter of Vader, the Tie Advanced X1.
