Every time you play a multiplayer game with your custom character, you have the choice of saving your stats to a controller pak or the game. You will notice that your custom character has a ranking. As you play more games, earn more medals, etc. your ranking will go up. You start off at rank 21 and the best you be is rank 1. Your ranking can't go down, so just keep playing and you'll eventually make it up there! There are : Kills, Ammo Used, Damage Dealt, Games Won, Time, Distance, and all four types of medal. Each of these categories has ten set steps within it, and reaching a step earns you one point. Collect five total points from all categories combined, and your rank moves up. To become Perfect though, you must reach the top number in each category. Examples are getting 900 of each medal, travelling more than 9000km, and having your playing time over 12:12:00 (12 days, 12 hours). So needless to say, it's not an easy task. Below is a list of the rankings from best to worst. |
1.) Perfect | 8.) Deadly | 15.) Agent |
2.) Near Perfect | 9.) Dangerous | 16.) Trooper |
3.) Invincible | 10.) Professional | 17.) Novice |
4.) Elite | 11.) Veteran | 18.) Rookie |
5.) Lethal | 12.) Expert | 19.) Amateur |
6.) Assassin | 13.) Special Agent | 20.) Trainee |
7.) Killer | 14.) Star Agent | 21.) Beginner |
Below is a list of the ten statistics needed for going up one rank.

Most Deadly:
This means exactly what it says. You were the most deadly player in your game. You got the most kills by doing whatever you could to totally murder your opponent. I love it!
Most Harmless:
This is the opposite of Most Deadly. This is usually given to the person with the least kills. Basically, you have no clue on how to kill people and you better start taking lessons from Mr. Most Deadly!
Most Professional:
This is a GOOD award to get. This means that you do everything very professional like. You always try for head shots! Good job!
Most Cowardly:
This is another award that you DON'T want to get. This is exactly what it says, you were the most cowardly. Instead of staying in the middle of a battle and trying to win you ran!
Most Honorable:
You were the most honorable player in the game. You never killed people that didn't have weapons, you never killed from the back, etc. What's wrong with you!?
Most Dishonorable:
Obviously, this is the opposite of the award Most Honorable. You are basically the person that everyone hates. You thrive on killing people without weapons or killing from behind. This is a good award though, because in this game you WANT to be dishonorable!
Longest Life:
Another self explanatory award, you were the player that stayed in the game without dieing for the longest. You probably liked the shield a lot, or just got yourself lost!
Shortest Life:
Opposite of longest life, you can never seem to live! Your the guy that dies right when you re-spawn. Too bad....
Most Frantic:
Your the crazy guy that is strafing everywhere and almost impossible to even hit, forget kill! You never stop moving for even a second, and you make the game exciting!
Most Suicidal:
You fall of pits or kill yourself with explosive way too much. But if you want to play that way, go ahead...
Best Protected:
This is the same as the AC-10 award in GoldenEye 007. You are the guy that knows the map well...or at least knows where the shields are! You always have a shield, so your always protected.
Least Shielded:
Opposite of the Best Protected award, you have no clue where the shield is. You almost never got the shield. What's wrong with you! You definitely haven't visited the Arenas page of our Multiplayer section yet!
Marksmanship:
You have excellent accuracy. Your the guy that probably had the golden gun all game or something like that. Or maybe your just good at hitting your targets, who knows!
Who needs ammo?:
You go into a battle with only 10 bullets, run out of ammo, and then never pick up more............
Double Kill:
Self explanatory, you killed two people at once!
Triple Kill:
Three people at once...fancy!
Quad Kill:
Four people at once! Excellent......
Accuracy |
The green star stands for accuracy. This medal is given to the player with the most accuracy.
Head Shot |
The yellow star stands for Head Shot. This is given to the player in the game with the most head shots.
KillMaster |
The red star stands for KillMaster. This is given to the person in the game with the most kills.
Survivor |
The blue star stands for Survivor. This award is given to the player who survived the longest with only one life.
To get all four stars, set all the weapons to Falcon 2. Then set limits to 1 score & team score and unlimited time. Then press start for player 2. Then start the game. Find player 2 and shoot him in the head. Do not use any ammo exept to kill player 2! The game will end and you will get all four stars!

These are the the different kinds of computers you play against in challenges and multiplayer. There are two different groups of simulants, normal simulants and special simulants. Normal simulants are just regular players (some better than others) while Special simulants have special attributes. Some of the normal simulants need to be unlocked by beating challenges.
Normal Simulants
MeatSim | Stupid simulants with no accuracy at all, the easiest sim to beat. If you can't kill a MeatSim, you need serious help. |
EasySim | This sim is still stupid, but not as much as the MeatSim. It's aim is decent and knows how to survive. |
NormalSim | This sim is just about as good as an average Perfect Dark player. It won't make you run for your life, but can put up a decent fight. |
HardSim | These guys are a bit tricky, they know how to use the Radar, hunt for the best weapons, set traps, and has very good reaction time. Watch out for these guys |
PerfectSim | This sim almost lives up to its name, extremely high intelligence. A real test to see just how good you are. |
DarkSim | This sim just might be the hardest computer in video gaming history, guarantied to make you get pissed and kick your N64 or throw a controller out the window. You'll never meet a cheaper opponent. |
Special Simulants
PeaceSim | PeaceSims are scientists that just don't like fighting. They go around collecting all of the guns in hope to stop all the fighting, if you kill one of these, you're in store for a whole lot of ammo and weapons. |
ShieldSim | These guys only like one thing....you guessed it, shields. Right when you damage these guys, the go off to find more shields, these one can get annoying real quick. |
RocketSim | The supreme pyro, loves to see things burst into flames. You never want to be on the other side of this guys rocket launcher. |
KazeSim | Stay away from this sim, he has suicidal tendencies and will do anything...ANYTHING to see you die. |
FistSim | This sim can get really annoying, he goes around collecting all the guns but refuses to use them, he even disarms people, while only uses his fists to fight. |
PreySim | This sim is a lot like a vulture, picks on the little guy, he will only attack people with weak weapons or people who just spawned. |
CowardSim | This sim will only fight a person it he thinks he can win. Just carry a big gun and he will surely leave you alone. |
FeudSim | This sim picks a person and fixates on them, the rest of the game he will mercilessly hunt down the same person the whole game. |
SpeedSim | This sim lives up to his name, very fast and will always be hard to hit with big guns like rocket launchers and devastators, use automatics and position your self instead of fleeing. |
TurtleSim | This sim is super slow and super protected (kind of like a turtle..duh). He has a shield that is twice as strong as a normal shield but he is very slow and an easy target. |
VengeSim | This guy is supremely annoying, he will attack the person who killed him last until someone else destroys him. Best thing to do is leave him alone. |
JudgeSim | This guy is really decent. He will attack the person who is doing the best in hope to even it out. |
To bring up the list of commands for your simulants press and hold 'A' during gameplay to bring up the weapon select menu, now press 'Z' twice to bring up the command menu. While in the command menu press 'Z' again to scroll from sim to sim. Hold R to assign commands to all simulants. Here are the following orders:
Attack | Get your sims to attack! They don't just attack anybody, you can assign them targets to attack. By choosing attack another menu appears with a list of enemies/targets to choose from. |
Follow | Get your troops to follow your every move. A good way to bring team mates to a guarding point that they can defend from. If an enemy walks by and/or attacks the follow sim will then chase after the enemy. |
Protect | You team mates will watch the surroundings around you for anything that moves. They'll follow you to safety. |
Defend | If you want a sim to stand guard a briefcase or a computer terminal this is the command for you. They won't let anything through, unless of course, they die. |
Hold | You can use this command to use weak sims as bait. Hide around the corner or plant a turrent gun near the weak sim holding their position and wait for an unsuspecting victim to come... |
Special | This command depends on the scenario you're playing. For example, you're playing Capture the Case, the special command would be to get the briefcase, or in King of the Hill it says hold the Hill or Defend Hill. |
There are 30 multiplayer challenges in all. By completing each challenge (with the exception of the first and last four) you will get access to more weapons, maps, and scenarios for muliplayer. Here is a list of challenge's and what you get from completing them:

The Combat Simulator (multiplayer mode) contains 14 preset matches, including the ones you need to unlock. These multiplayer simulations are predetermined in every area, and are for the lazy people who don't want to make up their own simulations, or who want to go to a quick match. By the way, you can save up to four custom simulation on your own on the Game Pak or Controller Pak. Of course, you may modify any of these preset matches to your own desires. These are all 14 of them:
No Shield - No shields in the Skedar area. Weapons are Falcon, CMP150, Cyclone, MagSec4, and AR53. The match ends after 10 minutes or if someone scores 10 points.
Rocket Launcher - NOT Area 51, but Area 52 in this simulator. Main weapon is Rocket Launcher, but there is also the Dragon, and some others that are not mentioned. Have a blast.
King of the Hill - Skedar area, with radar. K7 Avenger, DY357 Magnum, AR53 guns, and maybe more (check King of the Hill scenario for more info).
Hold the Briefcase - Skedar area (check Hold the Briefcase scenario for more info). Don't waste time on players who don't have the briefcase.
Capture the Case - Area 52 (check Capture the Case scenario for more info). Basically, find enemy with a Case, get rid of him and run back to your case before someone takes it.
Temple Explosives - Temple, guns: Devastator, Super Dragon. 10 minutes. Turn down the music so you can hear doors opening up behind you.
Tranquilizer - Rarely try to use the tranquilizer to kill, only use the tranquilizer with the help of some more powerful weapons.
Automatics - Pipes area, guns: Dragon, AR53, Cyclone, CMP150, good ambush points.
Simulants - Skedar area (they must like this place), 4 low-level simulants (check simulants section later on), guns: Rocket Launcher, AR53, CMP150, good ambush points.
Complex Farsight - Complex area, 10 minutes, 20-points, guns: Farsight, Cyclone, K7 Avenger.
Pistol One-Hit Kills - Area 52, One Shot Kills from the Falcon, MagSec 4, DY357 Magnum, no time limit.
Cloaking - Get the cloaking device to make yourself temporarily invisible, reappears like Body Armor in GE.
Slayer - Skedar area (again?!), featuring the Slayer rocket launcher. Use the rocket cam to get better shots.
Slow Motion - Sked----nevermind that, slow-motion match (no drop in framerate), look to kill with the sniper rifle.
