Name: Jennifer Sparks "The Spirit of the 20th Century"

First Appearance: Stormwatch Vol 1 #37

A former member of Stormwatch Black and, at last count, 96 years old. Jenny is a no nonsense operator with a sharp wit and a strong sense of justice. She joined Stormwatch at the behest of then Weatherman, Henry Bendix, to make the world a better place. She killed him to that end. These days she is the reluctant leader of The Authority and still maintains that lofty ideal.

Codename: Apollo "The Sun King"

First Appearance: Stormwatch Vol 2 #4

Part of an original seven man covert team, Apollo is a product of Bendix's offshoot academy program. Not a seedling like other Stormwatch operatives, Apollo appears to have been specifically created to be super powered. He possesses the power of flight and solar energy and is apparently charged by the sun. Some suggest that Apollo is homosexual but, I must admit, I have never seen anything conclusive in that respect.

Codename: The Midnighter "Night's Bringer of War"

First Appearance: Stormwatch Vol 2 #4

Like Apollo, The Midnighter was a part of Bendix's ultra secret academy program. He is better described as a supersoldier than a superhero. Quiet and brooding, The Midnighter fulfills the special operations role within The Authority. Some suggest that he is homosexual but, I must admit, I have never seen anything conclusive in that respect.

Name: Jack Hawksmoor "The God of the Cities"

First Appearance: Stormwatch Vol 1 #37

Jack Hawksmoor was designed specifically to live in cities. He underwent extensive alien organ implementation as a child and now cannot live beyond them. The cities speak to him. He is a neo-human and the possessor of extraordinary strength. As a former member of Stormwatch Black, he took the task of cleaning up with cities out of the streets to a global scale. He continues that now with The Authority.

Codename: Swift "The Winged Huntress"

Real Name: Shen Limin

First Appearance: Stormwatch Vol 1 #28

Shen is a former member of Stormwatch Black and, before that, Stormwatch proper. A seedling, Swift had her power of winged flight fully manifested by Synergy. She now operates alongside her former Stormwatch Black operatives and new allies with The Authority.

Codename: The Engineer "The Maker"

Real Name: Angela Spica

First Appearance: The Authority #1

Angie is the Engineer and, like the Doctor, there was another before her. She "distilled an incalculable number of intelligent devices into nine pints of liquid machinery" and exchange her blood for it. She uses the nanoload in her blood and the airborne particles around her to make things. Inexperienced in war, but lacks no bravery.

Codename: The Doctor "The Shaman"

First Appearance: The Authority #1

Inexperienced in the ways of war, but a master of magic. When the previous doctor died, the singularity opened up around the Shaman and he knew everything that those who walked before him knew. Since time began the earth has always known a Doctor and he is but the latest. It is his job to change to the world.

Codename: Battalion

Real Name: Jackson King

Formerly the Stormwatch Weatherman. Jackson, along with his lover, Christine Trelane, are running a superhuman security and intelligence advisory office for the United Nations. He possesses formidable psionic abilities that he is unlikely to ever use again in sanctioned action. His days of saving the world are over.

Codename: Synergy

Real Name: Christine Trelane

Formerly of Stormwatch. Christine, along with Jackson King, are running a superhuman security and intelligence advisory office for the United Nations. As an Activator, she is blessed with the ability to psionically manifest latent superhuman abilities in seedlings.
