Fleets In Rebellion it is essential to make offensive strikes on enemy planets. To do this fleets are required accompanied by troops to make the planetary assault.
Both for the Empire and the Rebellion there are many ships to choose from to put in your fleet. These range from Star Destroyers to Mon Calamari Cruisers to smaller troop carrying vessels. Small fighters also play a huge role in
space battles. One thing that has to be taken into consideration in Rebellion is the hyperdrive time it takes from a fleet to move from it's origin to it's destination. A fleet will always travel at the speed of it's slowest
vessel. Sometimes a fleet will be unable to respond to your orders. Here are a few reasons why:
Fighters: Fighters play an important role in the success of a fleet. (One squadron of x-wings can bring down a Death Star). A good fleet will have a fighter carrier with a full compliment of fighters and bombers. Each picture of a fighter represents a whole squadron of fighters which consists of twelve fighters. If a damaged fighter picture is displayed it means that one or more of the units in that squadron have been destroyed. If your fleet is left at a planet containing a shipyard then your squadron will be replaced. |
The Death Star; In Rebellion the Empire has an option to produce the Death Star. The Death Star as many people will know is a powerful space station the size of a
small moon which is capable of destroying planets. The Death Star requires a lot of time and resources to build. Here are a few key issues to consider if the Death Star is worth building.
Troops: The second part of an invasion force is the troops to conduct the planetary assault. A good assault team will also have a commanding officer such as a general or a commander. Obviously the number of troops used will affect the outcome of the battle but also the quality of the troops plays a significant role. There are a few reasons why your troops may not obey your orders. Here are a few:
Tips on how to effectively use your troops:
