Route 1
With your Pokémon in tow, take Route 1 north to Viridian City. As you wander through the tall grass, wild Pokémon will challenge you. You won't be able to capture them just yet, but that's all right. Let your Pokémon fight a few battles to gain experience. If your Pokémon is injured or faints, you can take it home or to the Pokémon Center in Viridian City.

As you explore the countryside, you'll meet various people. Some will be friendly citizens who may give you clues, while others will be rival Pokémon trainers who will challenge you to duels.

You'll find wild Pokémon in grassy areas. If your Pokémon is weak, use the Run command to escape.
|
|
|
|
|
