Just like his name says, he is an animal with fire-red fur. But under this fierce exterior is an intelligence surpassing that of any human's. His sharp claws and fangs make him good at close-range fighting, but other than that, not much else is known about him. It's not even certain "Red XIII" is his real name. A real enigma.

* Limit Breaks
To get Red XIII 4 limit break, you must go in the Shinra Mansion at Nibelheim. Open the safe in the room upstairs on the left side (see the section on lock combinations. Defeat the Boss "Lost Number" and you'll get the Odin Summon Materia, a key to the area in the basement where Vincent is sleeping and Red XIII's manual.

I Sled Fang Red hits an enemy for moderate damage
I Lunatic High Reduce an ennemy's MP level to 0, not effective against bosses
II Blood Fang Red charges an enemy causing light to moderate damage and then he gains HP and MP equal to the enemy's current MP
II Stardust Ray Red calls down 10 shooting stars that hit enemies at random each causing light damage
III Howling Moon red leaps and the moon appers in the background and he casts haste and berserk on himself and his attack power is gently increased
III Earth Rave Red attacks enemies 5 times at random, doing moderate to heavy amounts of damage each time
IV Cosmo Memory Red calls on the power of the stars and unleashes a big hitting all enemies for heavy damage
