Equipment: Sores carries the Electrumeyes spellbook* and a vial, as he is too weak to carry much else! He also wears riding boots with a hollow heal compartment (hiding a set of flint & steel), breeches, a robe, a sash, a signet ring depicting his personal emblem (that of a golden hand weaving chaotic smoke), 7 gp and 3 sp.

Magical Items: A wand of magic missiles.

Combat/Tactics: Blast your enemy to pieces, that is it. He cannot even carry a weapon without being winded while he bears his spellbook, so he simply chooses not to carry one. He is very smart and rarely stays to fight overwhelming odds. He has seen what even a group of weak creatures can do to others when in great numbers, so he plays it smart, and knows when to retreat.

Allies/Companions: Bannolas, Ather, Blindfaith, and Lasiser Moonlark.

Foes/Enemies: Kala Ravensclaw has taken a slight dislike to the frail mage, so it is possible that swarms of undead and necromancy could be subtly thrown his way later! After she tracks him down.

Appearance: From the strange tint of his silvery eyes, Sores aquired this nickname from the other students of The Golden Enclave. Web, the simulacrum of Piper gave him this title, so he now bears it with pride! Otherwise, Sores looks just like any other very weak gold elf, although his intelligence shines within his strange colored eyes.

Personality: Outgoing and proud of his dominance over the wild Art, Sores is still haughty like his kind. He is very, very tolerant of other races, however, from many nights of nightmares to rid him of this gold elven weakness.

Unique Abilities/Items:

  • Gold Magi: The gold magi receive bonus spells, just as priests do, for high ability scores. Consulting Table 5 in the Player's Handbook determines the number and level of bonus spells they receive. Instead of using their Wisdom score when reading this table, however, they use their Intelligence. As the minimum Intelligence of gold magi is 16, even the lowest of these folk receive two bonus 1st-level and 2nd-level spells (any bonus spells above 1st-level can only be cast by a gold magi who has achieved high enough level to normally cast 1 spell of the same level, at least 3rd-level for 2nd-level bonus spells, 5th-level before his 3rd-level bonus spells are gained, etc.).

    The Electrumeye Spellbook: This travelling spellbook is made from a missmatch selection of light alloyed metal sheets, each covered in the finest electrum script, or at least Sores's finest script (which is very impressive). It bears the first level magics of armor, burning hands, color spray, detect magic, electrumeyes, find familiar, magic missile, message, Nahal's reckless dweomer*, patternweave*, read magic, and the second level magic, weightless*.
