latest addition:

not so new anymore but still the latest:
Argyll 2001

yet to come (hopefully soon):

Roy Bridge 2004 and
Roy Bridge 2008
(still and still and still developing)

(sorry for the delay but that is the way, roadworks are as well: unpredictable circumstances cause further delays
but there is one good thing: I am working on it again now trying to give it a better structure...

This is Gaulois' Scotland - picture - page

news:

I have just once again returned from a fortnight in Scotland (my 9th visit to Scotland, my 15th visit to Great Britain) with my family taking home some more bottles of Uisge Beatha, so I hope will have time to add a lot of information of my journey and the 5 previous trips as well as photograps, paintings and stories. So please return to my homepage frequently to see the changes.

the idea of this website:

Do You like Scotland ? Scotland is rainy, wet, misty, cold, clumsy, snowy, with bashes of rain, hailstorm, wind and water everywhere ...
and if I had a million pounds I'd settle there and retire. Well, I really love it. So here for the start some pictures I made on my own on Amiga computer and on water colour and paper.

history of this page

If you are interested also in scottish history, please see my small history-book I did that on Amiga from 1994 to 1998 but unfortunately lost data in november, by using LINUX however I was able to recover the 3/97-version of information from my old Amiga 2000 HD. The program was originally done with CanDo on Amiga using sound and other features but unfortunately there is nothing alike for my PC, so I converted it to html.

a view into future

At the moment I start maintaining the page again on my Mac and hopefully in future I will be able to add further information and news of my latest trips to Scotland.

I bought a whole chest of books during my 6th visit to Scotland in 1999 but still I didnae yet read all of them. I have returned in 2001, 2004 and 2008, which is not on line yet, so please check for news from time to time.

The icons below this point are adressed by the icons on top. I changed the steering to more simplicity in using in order to avoid confusion - where have I been, where did I want to go. So I recommend just to use the main icons to get there.

These are just a few clans, I came across on my visits to Scotland, there are - of course a lot more but I could not handle them all so I just took some of them which I thought useful when reading books or when visiting the West Highlands. For further info look at their own homepages that are now available but used not to be when I started my project.
