Player Skills

 

Note: This page was done before the new Neocron site was up, so this skills page is conform the skills presented on the old site. I still haven't done a reconstruction of this page to show the new Official Skills Table, but instead of putting a blank page with a 'under construction' sign I decided to leave it for the moment.


Physical Power (PWR)

  • Physical strength.
  • Influences:
  • efficiency of fist fight and close combat arms.
  • production of 'health'.
  • Influenced by:
  • combat experience.
  • holomatch training.

Health (HLT)

  • The higher a character's HLT, the more hits in combat can he take without healing in the meantime.
  • The highest possible health level that can be achieved depends on the level of experience.
  • Influenced by:
  • EXL.
  • DEF.

Experience (EXP and EXL)

  • In order to climb up an experience level (EXL) you need to collect 1000 experience points (EXP).
  • Influenced by:
  • combat experience.
  • online time.
  • business deals (purchase, sale).
  • holomatch training.
  • PSI activities.

Skill (SKL)

  • Influences:
  • ATK.
  • Influenced by:
  • handling technical weapons (e.g. guns, laser, etc.) but not by close combat or fist fights.

Attack Level (ATK)

  • ATK is worked out from the factors EXL, SKL, PWR, SPD and LUK.
  • It cannot be directly influenced by the player.
  • Using the same weapon with a higher ATK can inflict more damage on the enemy player or the NPC than a lower ATK can.
  • ATK is the factor that combines various skills and is thus the sole reference for how dangerous a player really is.

Luck (LUK)

  • Depending on the character class chosen by the player, he already has a certain LUK coefficient
  • Influences:
  • martial disputes.
  • 'civilian' life in different situations.
  • Influenced by:
  • EXL.

Armor (ARM)

  • By using different protection systems (armor, shield, etc.) the player can protect himself against attacks.
  • Different objects and systems have different protection capabilities.
  • The player can only use a limited amount of ARM objects at the same time (e.g. only one breastplate).
  • The maximum ARM level is 999.
  • Influences:
  • DEF.

Defense Level (DEF)

  • The DEF is composed of ARM, LUK,SPD and EXL.
  • A player with a high DEF suffers less from attacks against him (deduction of HLT) than a player with a lower DEF.
  • A player with high ATK, DEF and HLT is the ideal fighter for single combat.

Speed (SPD)

  • The speed determines how fast a character in NeoCron can move by his on physical strength.
  • Influences:
  • DEF and ATK.
  • Influenced by:
  • EXL. However, it primarily depends on the choice of character class.

PSI Power (PSI)

  • Determines a player's ability to handle PSI weapons and objects.
  • Some classes are unable to develop PSI powers, others are predetermined to do so.
  • The mental PSI fight is an alternative to physical combat.
  • Influences:
  • EXP, LUK and DEF.
  • Healing.
  • Defense.
  • Resurrection.
  • Influenced by:
  • PSI boosters (brain implants that only certain character classes can obtain).
