Come stroll with me 2
As we follow the stream out of the glen, it flows through the north
west meadow. There it has a number of little streamlets that go off
into a boggy area where wild mint grows in abundance.
Pick a sprout. Chew on it a while. Taste the clean refreshing flavor.
Smell the tangy scent as our feet crush some of the leaves in our
passage. Maybe we should have worn more than sneakers, however on
this warm sunny day, the cool wetness comforts the feet as we walk.
We continue west and as we start to climb the hill we stop a
moment, turn and see the glorious view to the east.
Winter was very harsh. Not every tree survived. This one is still
holding on to life with green leaves branching off a fallen trunk.
We continue up the hill. From the top we can stand in one place,
Turn in every direction and view the magnificence of Gods creation.
These are the views to the North. Apples, Hawthorns, Pines,
fields of dandelions, distant hills, clouds gathering in the sky.
The violets nodding in their grassy place try to compete with
dandelions as the favorite flower of May. Onward we stroll, down
the dirt road, recalling memories of other dirt roads. Of years gone by.
