July shared with summer guests.
This is a joyful time of year. Summer at it's finest. We are so lucky to live
in a place of such beauty and to be able to share it with family and dear friends.
The wild pasture roses grew every where this summer, climbing over 10 feet high into the trees.
Such lovely delicate blossoms and heady aroma. My brother Mark was astounded by their profusion.
Mark finds an unusual daisy petals much finer than most See the difference ?
Broad leaves of Mandrake, misty white bedstraw & wild geranium each lend their unique charm.
Here's the view from the top of the pasture hill, from halfway down, and the creek at the bottom.
A restful place to take a break & make a friend before the steep ascent towards home.

Linda came from North Dakota and we spent 4 wonderful days together.
I shared our beautiful upstate NY countryside with Linda showing her some
of my favorite places and views.
The following were taken on the beautiful Colgate University campus.
We bid adieu to Colgate with it's lovely buildings, gardens, views and lake with the graceful swan,
Continuing on our little tour to one of my favorite hideaways.
The pictures above were taken a mile from my home. I think you can see why we dubbed it Tranquility Hill.
Marie' s visit.
A few days shared with my friend Marie from NJ brought a close to July.
