Sorry everyone for not keeping up on this but I got tired of keeping track so we'll just call the below entry the beginning of Volume II:

When we last left off our heroes had entered the right gate of the temple of Demogorgon and landed in the Canyon of Insects (from A Paladin In Hell). Off in the distance a giant plateau topped with a great black tower loomed. Between the heroes and the path to the plateau and crawling carpet of millions of acid spitting abyssal ants. Thus Wiquaestreal grabbed Erik and began to fly with the dove wings that sprouted from his ankels when he activated his boots of flying, Twilight casts fly.

While flying to the plateau, to avoid the ants, the brave guardians fall victim to the breath weapon of a dread linnorm wyrm after being hit by a lightning bolt and fireball as they flew to meet the beast in mortal combat. Erik leapt down to fight her upon the rocky ledge, as Wiquaestreal fell to the ground losing consciousness. Monty tended to the elf while Twilight aided Erik with various Bigby spells. And once Wiquaestreal has his senses, while Monty is transformed, from the twisted hold the abyss exerts over mortal magic and is transformed into an onyx gargoyle, being horribly disfigured as he activates his wings of flying! After a deadly battle the dragon is finally killed but not before maiming Erik by breaking most of his ribs and mauling his sword arm as well as his shield hand. Of which, Erik struck a distracting wound with his broken and bloody hand (or what was left of it) to the mighty beast as the elf twirled in and gutted the foul scaled monster.

The heroes then retreat into the depths of the dragon?s lair they encounter a group of wraiths and realize the horrible truth of the dragons bite?level drain! After dispensing with the wraiths, a makeshift camp is set up and a much needed rest is gotten.

The next morning at the tower they encounter the captain of the ship and his crew. Captain Straoth (a balor), Cuinre (a nalfeshnee), Ahjani (a marilith) and a strange spider like being. Erik takes this time to open a scroll they found in the Canyon of the Insects and summons a Molydeus, a trap meant for them. Quickly four Babau are gated in and things seem to go from bad to worse. After a long and hardy battle the good guys (no, not the demons) triumph and gain access to the tower. Whilst in the tower a hatch in the room of the captains room leads to the deck and with the demonglass found control is exerted over the ship. It is soon sailed into the Nine Hells.
