Recently in their exploits, Erik, Twilight and Wiquaestreal went outside the walls of Waterdeep to a shop to deliver a package. When they arrived they discovered and were attacked by a small group of gargoyles! They managed to slay all of the beasts, thanks to the strong bower's arm of Erik the Cobbler. In this small scuffle a grievous wound was inflicted on Wiquaestreal, a gargoyle tore his weapon hand off in a single viscous slash! They also saw that the gargoyles were wearing the personal symbol of a good conjurer that lived not too far away.
From here, after cauterizing Wiquaestreal's forearm and retrieving his severed hand, they set out to a mages tower to investigate why the gargoyles were sent. There they discovered a heinous display of destruction, as gore covered many rooms and parts of the late wizard's abode. It happened that he had summoned an abishi, which was too powerful for him to control. It escaped the summoning circle and slaughtered everyone in the house but an apprentice. She was rescued by a nearly slain Erik and horridly wounded Wiquaestreal. They used the two swords of the elven Bladesinger to slay the foul creature. Twilight was of frightened (fear) away by the beast before the combat got fully underway.
They then stayed in the fouled homestead until they were ready to travel; the wizard's former apprentice left to go her own way, thus the adventures continue...
