This is Darling Harbour. The building To the left with yellow
checked colouring is the IMAX theatre.

Here's Harbourside Shoppring Centre. To the bottom of the
picture, you see Promenade Eatery, the food court I was
telling you about.

Here a further view of Harbourside Shopping Centre.

The fifth element...

Here's the National Maritime Museum

This is not something you see everyday. My family and I
were walking on the bridge when the 2 gates at the
centre of the bridge began to close and seal off the
centre part of the structure from both sides.

Then the part sealed off began to rotate horizonally. I later
learnt that the bridge was making way for a vessel
passing through.

The bridge contunues to rotate to a 90 degree angle,
making a passageway for the vessel. All this is controlled
by the station control on the bridge itself.

See the small little house on wooden foundation to the
right? That's the control station. The flat, long white
structure on the left is the Sdyney Aquarium. You can
only see a fraction of it from this picture. Refer to
previous pictures for a better view of it.

Behind me is Sega World.

Strange it might sound, I actually didn't enter the theme
park at all. There's lots of video game theme parks in
Singapore. My main objective for my visit in Australia is to
visit places or see things that I can't find in my home
country. Anyway, the enterance is virtually empty, so I
thought there may not be much people inside.

Ah...the lovely night scene at Darling harbour

Ring like structure on the left is a monorial station and that
strip to the bottom of the picture is the track.

Darling Harbour's got lots of attractions. Here are some of them.
IMAX theatres have the largest movie screens in the world and there's one in Sydney, at Darling Harbour. An IMAX screen spans more than eight stories high! Only IMAX screens can cover a viewer's entire sight range. Most IMAX films are all educational documentaries such as a Discovery Channel's Wild Fire.

The Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest aquariums in the world is also located at Darling Harbour. The Australian National Maritime Museum is dedicated to Australia's maritime history. Outside the indoor part of the museum, is a destroyer and submarine for viewing. You can even get into them for a tour.

Also at Darling Harbour is Sega World, an indoor theme park. You pay a one-time flat entrance fee for unlimited play.

Harbourside is a shopping centre like those at Orchard Road, Singapore. It's got lots of shops, waterfront restaurants, cafes and a food court at the ground level that offers international crusine. There's a Hotdog bar, Mexican  and Japanese food to list a few. There's even a KFC at one corner.
