Kamatari is one of the prettiest of the Juppon Gatana, which is kind of weird because he's a guy! O_o His appearance is that of a girl, probably having something to do with his love for Shishio and extreme jealousy of Yumi.
He is one of the Juppon Gatana sent to attack the Oniwa Banshu in Kyoto so that they can't cause any more distractions. When he shows up Kaoru, Yahiko and crew immediately mistake him for a girl but in the battle that follows Kaoru finds out that "she" is a he.
Kamatari's weapon of choice is a huge scythe that he swings pretty easily. Kaoru realizes that even though he is fast with it that she can probably outmatch his speed. She goes in for the attack but he breaks out the chain attached to the scythe which is very fast. Eventually he also breaks out his attack in which he spins the scythe above his head with such force that everything in his path is destroyed.
After the Kyoto incident Kamatari is one of the survivors of the Juppon Gatana, but tremendously upset over the loss of his love. In a surprising move Cho actually gives him an inspirational speech that breaks him out of his depression! Way to go Cho.
