Henya is one of the weaker of the Juppon Gatana but is by no means a pushover. He uses his extremely thin and light body and prosthetic wings to glide through the air and attack his enemies with various weapons.

Inspired to prove his skills to Kenshin, Yahiko decides to take on Henya but has a hard time getting in any hits because Henya is flying through the air. Henya then breaks out dynamite and begins to drop it on the helpless Yahiko.

Yahiko then tries to think of how Kenshin would defeat Henya and realizes that to win he must be above Henya. In a brilliant move Yahiko uses some of the fallen debris and the force of Henya's dynamite blasts to propel himself upward and over Henya so that he could strike the final blow.

After the Kyoto incident Henya can be seen flying banners over downtown Kyoto for the government.
