Hernando “SpiderMan” Abilez has worked with over 80% of the Tejano artists in the Tejano and Latin music industry. He has years of experience working in radio, artist management, bookings, publicity, marketing and has worked for major record labels as a promotions department executive for such companies as: EMI LATIN, SONY DISCOS, RODVEN Records, and CAIMAN RECORDS.

He has worked on the promotion campaigns for such artists as: Selena Quintanilla, Emilio Navaira, Gary Hobbs, Mazz, David Lee Garza, Xelencia, Grupo Rodeo, Elsa Garcia, Hometown Boys (EMI LATIN) and with Jay Perez, La Mafia, Ram Herrera, Eddie Gonzales, Elida y Avante, Anna Roman, and David Marez (Sony Discos)…Tierra Tejana (Rodven) just to name a few.

He worked over two years as the key Texas journalist covering the Tejano and Latin music industry for the international weekly publication, Radio y Musica, under then owner, Alfredo Alonso. Before that, he worked in radio in Austin Texas as radio personality for KRGT RADIO 92.1 FM for Marcelo Tafoya and worked as a program director and radio personality for KTXZ RADIO 1560 AM in Austin Texas under general manager, Joe Morales and station owner, Neil Spelce.

Before breaking into radio in the Austin area, he worked as a club deejay and video jock for major clubs like: Eli's Disco-Austin, Godfather's Night Club-Corpus Christi, Chappie's Night Club at Howard Johnson Hotel-Austin, Pardner's Country Night Club-Austin and Rocky's Night Club in San Antonio, Texas.
