Who Did This
Well as you are aware, when raising kids, you have lots of funny stories to tell. Here is another one I would like to share, in hopes in will bring a smile to your day.
Our youngest is now three, now, & is learning to write his name & others letters & numbers.
Well I found some writing in the bathroom sink, when I asked him does he know who did this, his response was very protective of himself :O)
He turned around & looked at me, & said
"Mommy, I know who didn't do it."
then he continued
"You didn't do it right Mommy?"
he was so proud, he was telling the truth, no Mommy didn't do it, so who did it?
He then said, "Mommy if I tell the truth, then I will get in trouble"
Now at this point, I had to keep in my smiles, he was really trying to confess,
I told him, when we confess it, we erase our mistakes, just like when we confess it to God, we erase it, they understand that. They also know in some situations, punishment is a must, but the confession is done.
I think the hardest part, as you will probably agree, is not to get mad when they confess something, especially broken things, or things that are done permanently.
But, I have to admit, when we make mistakes, do we confess everything to HIM, like we are expected to. I doubt it. Oh sure, we confess, but do we confess it the way God saw it, or the way we saw it?
May we open our eyes like a child, knowing when we did wrong, being afraid, but knowing we really need to come to HIM for forgiveness. May we all remember to treat our children, so that things that they do are a learning experience, may they be able to come to us for everything, may we keep calm, so they will.
Thank you God for our precious gifts our children
We were just given a message from a missionary ,
a wonderful message.
As you look at your child, do you really know who you are looking at?
How many lives will he or she touch?
How many will he or she help?
Who will he or she be, & how will they use their talents that God has given .
After all look at you, did you ever expect to touch as many lives as you do?
