The Rest of Both Worlds Online

Q. So why a fanzine now? A. There hasn't been a F/M fanzine since the demise of 'The Flaming Shroud' in about 1994 and we feel ? excellent as the service from the Fan Clubs is ? that there is a hole where there should be an independent voice covering both parties with objectivity. We used to enjoy our old copies of TFS, Pink Floyd's 'The Amazing Pudding' and many others, and we think it's time a musical legacy as strong and long lasting as Fish and Marillion's had a fanzine of comparative quality. Many have said that the Internet has killed off the fanzine industry, but we think they're wrong ? and we're sure we're about to find out!
Q. What do you hope to achieve? A. We're always looking to achieve world piece but our secondary aims for ROBW are to establish a long running quality publication, with in-depth articles on things of interest only to real anoraks, quality interviews with people The Web and The Company couldn't be bothered with, reviews of things so crap others just laughed at them, and a nice line in self deprecating humour ? although we're still working on the last one.
Q. Why 'The Rest of Both Worlds'? A. You should have seen some of the alternatives we discarded!
Q. Can I write for it? A. Of course! The first issue is already in place, but we can always use more reviews, pictures, letters, news and views for future issues. Contact us if you have any ideas, or would just like to volunteer generally. See below for contact details.
Q. How often will ROBW be coming out? A. About every 4 months, which means that issue 2 will emerge late in the year or early next.
Q. How do I contact you? A. E-mail the editor on [email protected]
