Star Trek - Voyager - Season 5 |
This show is about Species 8472's fiendish plan to take over the Starfleet Academy and the entire Federation,
which in itself is hard to swallow. Why would they even bother? And why use the cheesy Cold War analogy? This
species is supposed to be so completely alien, yet they think and act exactly like humans? Strange, to say the least.
Using Boothby as their leader seems horribly wrong to me.

This has some of the most annoying characters ever invented, Flotter and Naomi. The whole holodeck
part of it is very bad indeed, but there is a lot of Neelix time here. He even gets serious and emotional at one point,
that is one of the few highlights left in Voyager. Otherwise this is as dull and pointless as usual.

The premise of this show is actually interesting with the
Ocean planet and all, but the real issue here is Tom Paris being demoted and thrown in the brig
for doing "the right thing". This decision would be correct if it had been any other Captain than Janeway.
A Captain as reckless and hypochritical as her has no business judging her officers like that. Tom Paris should
have been commended for his actions.

This is really something different. Character develllopment for Tuvuk! About time they used this great character
for something other than technobabble and lame one-liners. The setting is interseting too, a desert like planet with
strange crawly things and a very interesting love interest for Tuvok. Kudos to the writers for allowing this small
highlight into a dreadful season.

Stongly reminescent of The Cloud which again was a total rip-off of The Immunity Syndrome from TOS.
Once again Seven of Nine is left alone to singlehandedly fight evil and save the ship. It almost hurts to watch shows like this.
Another day, another evil anomaly.

This does have some pretty good special effects, and there is plenty of stuff going on. But, the Borg are
given the finishing blow by our dear writers. The Borg collective, who have ruled the galaxy for
thousands of years, are no match for Captain Janeway and her indestructable starship. Completely ridiculous,
and should not even be considered canon in my opinion.

This is a sequel to Demon and one of the most scientifically preposterous episodes of all time.
The only mildly amusing thing about this show is seeing the crew slowly dacaying into walking horror shows.
Whatever fun you might have had with this, the fact that the real Voyager never actually discovers what has
transpired makes it all totally pointless.
