Annette is Sherry's mother, and the wife of William Birkin. She is a very serious women, who works at the Umbrella Chemical Plant. Along with her husband William. Because of her job, she doesn't spend much time with Sherry, although she still loves her. When you first meet Annette, as either Claire or Ada (Leon gets shot and knocked out when they first meet), she'll tell you about how Umbrella tried to steal their research away from them. In two scenerios, it is done through a very cool Cinema Scene (I'll save all the details for William's Profile), about how a Umbrella Swat Team tries to steal the G-Virus away from her husband William. Although Annette tells you a lot of info, she's still not exactly a friend, and ends up, at one point or another, shooting at both Leon and Ada. And she seems to like Claire more than she does Leon. I don't know if I would necessarily call her an enemy though. In both Leon and Claires scenarios, she end up dying. Although I won't spoil how, you'll have to find that out yourself :-).
