William is the father of Sherry, and Annette's husband. You never actually meet William as a human though. But, you do meet him as a monster on numerous occations. When you meet Annette, in at least two scenerios, she will tell you that William was the one who created the G-Virus (As well as the T-Virus), and, through a very cool cinematic scene, how a Swat Team, sent in by Umbrella, tries to steal the G-Virus samples away from William. When they come in the room, William accidently knocks something over. Thinking it was a gun shot, the Team shoots him, not knowing that he still had a sample of the G-Virus in his hands. They then take the G-Virus samples (that were in a briefcase) and leave. That's when William, in order to stay alive, injects himself with the G-Virus. After that, seaking revenge, he hunts down the Swat Team. Killing them one by one. He then becomes a major threat to Leon, Ada, Claire, and Sherry. Now a monster, and losing all past memories, he hunts down Sherry. Because she has the same DNA as he does, he knows that Sherry's body won't regect the G-Virus. And thus he does whatever he can, to try and impregnate her with one of his embryos. Hoping they'll pupate, and turn Sherry into what he is, "The Ultimate Bio-Weapon". At the end of the game, William ends up being killed. After the train that Leon, Claire, and Sherry are on, detenates.
