After the incident inside the mansion, Chris Redfield decided to fly to Umbrella's HQ, to further investigate, after the Raccoon City officials didn't believe their "story". After all, the evidence was destroyed along with the mansion. But, Chris never told his sister where he was going, as to not endanger her.
Thus, Claire, is now looking for him, in Raccoon City, the last known location of her brother, nearly two months ago.
Claire is a light hearted, articulate, modern women. She's someone who'd usually be the first person to try something others would not. Claire is really self-confident and extroverted. She's somewhat of a tomboy, and can be quite wild at times.
During Claire's opening FMV sequence, she drives on her motorcycle up to a gas station. She goes inside, and starts looking around as she notices that no one seems to be inside. She walks around yelling "Hello!", asking if anyones around.
When she notices a sound. She looks around a corner, and see's a zombie. The sound she heard was him munching on someone's flesh.
As he turns around and looks at her. She exclaims a frightened "Huh!!", and jumps back. The zombie then turns around and starts walking towards her, hands out-stretched, ready to grab her and have himself a nice snack.
Claire then, backing up from the creature, backs into a wall, and turns around to see a bunch of zombies through the window, trying to get into the shop. She looks around for a way out, and seeing a door, runs towards it.
As she pushes the door open, she see's a man in a blue uniform, pointing a gun at her. She then yells "Wait, don't shoot!". And he yells for her to get down. As she ducks, he shoots the zombie throught the head, killing it. He then says "We can't stay out, lets head to the Police Station, it'll be a lot safer."
So they then run down to the end of the alley, and get in a police car that was parked on the street, and drive off towards the Police Station. They introduce each other, and Claire tells Leon that she's looking for her brother. Leon then tells her to look in the glove box. She finds a gun inside and he tells her to take it with her. But they don't notice the truck that's coming behind them (the one with the guy who got bit by the zombie earlier in it).
As a zombie pops up in the back seat, and tries to bite Leon, the car swirls around, out of control, and slams into a street light. They then look to see a truck heading straight at them. So they both jump out of the car, as the truck crashes into it, and then tips over exploding. Looking through the fire at each other. Leon tells Claire to head to the Police Station, and that he'll meet her there.
So Claire then heads off to the Police Station. Running through the ruined city.
Later on during Claire's game, you'll find a young 12-year-old girl named Sherry. Claire quickly begins to care for the little girl and look after her. Claire finds out about Sherry, and how she's been left alone through most of her life, because of her parents work.
Throughout Claire's game, you'll meet the NPC's Annette Birkin, William Birkin, and Brian Irons. And of course Leon and Sherry.
You'll also find some cool weapons like the Grenade Launcher and Spark Shot.
Claire's game is a little bit easier than Leon's and shorter too.
You'll meet Leon a couple of times also, but you won't really get together again until the end of the game.
And, Claire and Ada never actually meet either. The only time she hears anything about Ada is at the end, when Ada throws down a Rocket Launcher for Claire. But even there, she doesn't know who the shadowy silhouette is.
Throughout most of the game, Claire wears a red jacket, with some kind of goddess on the back. But later on, she gives it to Sherry. After which she's in a black shirt.
