Mike sets up a perfect play at home and convinces his parents he's
given up acting in favor of studying and becoming a teacher. When
he lands a big role he's telling his parents the truth - which they
absolutely don't like. His furious father finally delivers an
ultimatum: Either he's studying and gets the support (i.e. living
there) or he's on his own now. Carol doesn't like being ignored.

Mike now on his own searches for a home and as he's short of money

over a blank check as she sure 'doesn't want to stay in Carol's way'.
When all of Mike's choices failed there's only one way he can go ...
back home. But there he meets Carol (and the check) and smells another

Mike, roping in new customers for a travel agency, was able to sell
a trip to his parents, who will now spend their wedding anniversary in
Paris. Mike, who was the top seller, also flies to Europe. His first
station is Barcelona in Spain. On his way there he meets Amy, an art-
interested young girl. In Spain they find out two things: first, it
was Mike who sold the trip to her using wrong promises, and second,
the agency Mike works for went bankrupt. Now they have six days left
to reach Paris ...

rest of the way and fullfill Amy's want-to-visit list.

the 'meaning of life'. During their vacation, at home Mike and
Carol take care of their siblings: their motto is 'divide and
rule' and so Mike rules over Ben and Carol over Chrissy.

the soap opera 'Big City Secrets' instead of 'learning his lesson'.
At the audition, and later on the set, Mike meets Lyle Douglas, an
established actor and former TV star, who now has to accept every
role because fame doesn't pay off long. Which gives Mike mind food ...

owner of the restaurant recognizes in him the man who mugged him two
years ago.

an 'in' thing. So Kate and Mike try to talk them out of this. Jason
and Maggie misunderstand the news and head off to Las Vegas to prevent
Mike's wedding.
