Carol moves into the university dorm but returns when her roommate
wants to spend her time rather with her boyfriend than with Carol.
For Ben and Chrissy school starts and both have a hard time, Chrissy
when she's trying to put Ben's advises into action and Ben when he
hasn't a chance to do so. In fact, it's much worse for him because the
school physician prescribes him glasses and - as this wouldn't be
enough - he is elected president of the chess club. Mike takes on a
teaching job at the Community Health Clinic. But he serves a hard day,
too, when the students, at least one, turn out to be smarter than him.

being completely homeless now. While he's searching for Luke he misses
the dinner with Kate and his parents at home. Maggie who cooked all day,
learns at dinner table that Kate's keeping a strict diet.

After six months lying in coma, Strong Waverly, Mike's character on
'Big City Secrets' will wake up and tell the - long-awaited - name
of the murderer. Mike, excited about his first lines on the show,
accidentally tells that name Carol while rehearsing at home. Carol
wins some friends at the dorm when they find out that she's the sister
of Strong Waverly. At home, the Seavers found a new host family for
Luke. Although the Kimballs seem to be a really nice family, Luke
doesn't want to be moved around any longer and decides to leave. This
puts Mike into an awkward position since he has now to choose between
his soap-opera role and keep Luke from running away.

Going to see the doctor with Luke, Jason lets the doc examine himself
to show Luke that it absolutely doesn't hurt. Unfortunately, the doctor
diagnoses a hernia and Jason needs a surgery - the week before his own
psychiatric banquet. He transfers the organizing duties to Mike who
himself passes them on to Ben and Luke. And the two have everything
else in mind but setting up a plain conservative banquet. At the
banquet, after withstanding several days, Jason finally agrees to take
painkillers at the same time Maggie couldn't watch him suffer any
longer and also places them in his dinner - an overdose with strange
side effects.

jealousy grows, Mike flies down to see her. At home, decorating the
Christmas tree starts like each year - Jason has it's own plans of
a perfectly looking tree - but turns around when the rest of the
gang sets up their own tree while having a lot of fun.

Ben takes care of Chrissy who fears the darkness. The blackout also
interrupts a banquet given by Dwight and Carol and traps them both
