- Words:
Show me that smile again
don't waste another minute on your cryin'
We're nowhere near the end,
the best is ready to begin.
As long as we got each other,
we've got the world spinning right in our hands.
Baby, you and me, we gotta be
the luckiest dreamers who never quit dreamin'
As long as we keep on givin'
We can take anything that comes our way
Baby, rain or shine, all the time
We've got each other,
sharing the laughter and love.
- Reunion: A GP reunion took place on the Alan Thicke comedy 'Hope & Gloria'
in the first season (1995) episode 'The Face with two Men' (episode #10).
Kerns, Cameron and Miller appeared as themselves, Thicke had a dual
role (himself and his H&G-character Dennis). Tracey Gold did not appear
in this episode, it was said 'she's off doing a special'. The basic story
of this episode: To help the declining show, Hope tries to get the
Growing Pains cast on the 'Dennis Dupree Show', despite the fact that
Dennis absolutely can't stand Alan Thicke.
- The spin-off series 'Just the Ten of Us'
The two-parter 'How the West was Won' (ep.069/070) is kind of a pilot
for the sitcom 'Just the Ten of Us' which lasted for two seasons (88-90)
and tells about Coach Lubbock's life in Eureka, California. He has taken
on the job as a teacher and coach at the St. Augustine's, a catholic
school for boys which also his kids (mostly daughters!) attend. The
start there isn't exactly perfect: The Coach finds out about the school,
the house is devastated and then he learns that he hasn't got the job
because they needed a teacher but because his friend Duane (who he once
coached to success) who's working there provided it after he talked with
Elisabeth and got hold of the Coach's situation.
The creators are Steve Marshall and Dan Guntzelman, Executive Producer,
beside the creators, is also Mike Sullivan. All three also worked as
Executive Producer on Growing Pains.
