"Killed
by a drunk driver"
Phoebe...
you were such a special little girl. I enjoyed you so much the 8 years
that I had you. I looked so forward to seeing you grow up.
It's hard to believe your 16th birthday is here. I wonder all the
time what you would look like and what your interests would be. I'm
sure you would be a very beautiful and special young lady. You are
not here to celebrate your birthday, a day that should be special is a
sad day... all because of a drunk driver!!!
Not
a day goes by that I don't think of you.
I
love you and miss you so much.

The following
is taken from the 1991 yearbook page that was in memory of Phoebe...
Phoebe
was a third grader, who wanted to do her very best in her school work.
She had a strong personality and especially loved her cats. Dr. Sayre
summed up her personality at the memorial service as mischievous and friendly
and unrelentingly "feisty". Here are some thoughts from some of her
school friends:
Tricia
Slocum said, "Phoebe helped me build my playhouse. I liked having
Phoebe for a friend. She didn't cry all the time. If she fell
she would get up and keep going."
Ruth
Wetmore said, "I liked her, she was my friend and we played house together."
Missy
Bray remembered a lot about her best friend "She was honest and loyal and
had a never ending sense of humor! I miss her so much, and when I
think about her I almost cry and cry."
Mrs.
Wetmore commented, "She was a very good student but a bit stubborn when
she needed correction. I miss her truthful comments."
Mary
said of her sister, "I love my sister, Phoebe, and I mis her. We
used to build housesd in the woods with Jai and ride our bikes for horses."
Chad
Scheler said, "I liked Phoebe. She was a good friend and I miss her."

days before she was killed
Phoebe
never got to see her new little brother grow up... nor did he ever get
to know her. I know the saying "life isn't fair" and there is some
truth to that statement. BUT, it just doesn't seem right when a child's
life is taken from them because adults can't be responsible. If you
drink... Don't Drive... Don't let your Friends Drink and Drive!!!
BE
RESPONSIBLE!

with her Grampa Chrysler
Words cannot
express the pain that Phoebe's Grandpa and Gramma have felt over her death.
I felt so alone in my grieving process without David to grieve their deaths
with me. There is something about a love for your child that others
just don't understand unless they have also lost a child. There was
no one here to share with me the memories that we had and the pain that
I felt. Although I feel my parents missed and grieved as I did...
to loose their grandchildren, a son-in-law that they loved, and to see
the pain that their daughter was going through.
Grandparents
are often the overlooked victim!
