Priest Abilities: As a cleric of Azuth and wizard of Mystra's clergy, Piper can turn undead, has the clergy spells of both religions, and casts priest spells faster than other priests. The casting times of all his priest spells of one round or less are reduced by 3, to a minimum of 1. He has major access to all spheres.

Wild Magic spells are in Bold. The spells Piper cast cast daily are modified by him having a three signature spells. Also from using Azuth's exalted triad, Piper has tripled the casting number of two spells; these spells are followed by "AET" in brackets to reference how they are tripled.

Weapons of Proficiency: Piper, as a former priest of war and druid, isn't restricted from using any weapons, and is proficient in all throwing weapons (specialized in darts), scimitar, two-handed sword, and martial arts. His style, in which he was taught from the age of 4, is unique and he has the following maneuvers: Block 1,2,3,4; Strike 1,2,3; Kick 1,3; Movement 1,2,4,5; Mental 2,4,5,6.

(1 slot has been used by Piper to change his specialization from two-handed sword to dart, thus it has been lost.)

As Royalty, then later Displaced Royalty, Piper was taught artistic ability, etiquette, religion (Elven & Faer�nian) and reading/writing (Espruar) for free. Furthermore, as a triple-class character of candlekeep, all proficiencies only cost 1 slot for Piper; although rogue proficiencies still cost an extra slot for being from a category not open to him.

Combat/Tactics: Being a martial artist and having many abilities, Piper is very versatile and virtually unbeatable in combat. If psionics are used, Piper has 271 PSP's and the psionic powers of adrenalin control, contact, ectoplasmic form, danger sense, metamorphosis, mindlink, and telekinesis.

Foes/Enemies: All evil organizations (especially the Zhentarim and the Cult of the Dragon), all enemies of elvenkind and those that abuse magic or despoil the land.

Appearance: Piper is a large, alluring half-elf of wild elven descent. He stands 6-feet tall and weighs close to 180 pounds. He has jet-black hair, pointed incisors and stunning gold cat eyes. He bears a huge spider-web tattoo that covers his right arm from the wrist up to and including his right pectoral muscle. Piper commonly wears silk breeches, elven boots, a deep brown cloak, and an exquisitely embroidered, dark gray robe.

Personality: Aggressive and sometimes sarcastic, Piper is a very emotional man when around friends. Despite this, Piper can hide his emotions behind a kind face and polite manners whenever needed. When hiding his emotions this way, only his friends and family can tell how he truly feels. Piper has a photographic memory and never forgets a face, and has a cat-like sense of smell and highly acute hearing.

    Motivations/Goals: To increase his growing enclave of wizards and to explore and expand the boundries of Magic in all it's many forms.

    Campaign Uses: Piper is a teacher and lover of magic and the Art in all its varied forms. As such, he can be used to teach a PC or can interact with them in any way a normal Chosen of Mystra would be used. Note that the power and skills possessed be him may upset the balance in your campaign, so play his True neutral alignment very carefully. His interests are mostly of magic, so he does not actively hunt evil or good down. Piper merely plays with people as his pawns and searches for ways to improve Mystra and Corellon's Art.

    Unique Abilities/Items:

  • Spell Immunities (including Intelligence & Wisdom granted immunities): Piper is immune to 1st-4th level illusions, cause fear, charm person, command, friends, hypnotism, magic missile, ESP, forget, hold person, ray of enfeeblement, scare, fireball, polymorph other, feeblemind, death spell, spell turning, Otto's irresistible dance, and imprisonment.
  • Bonus Spells: In addition to his normal repertoire, Piper can cast feather fall, vocalize, wraithform, polymorph self, Jordon's golden eye, ghostgrail, teleport without error, Jordon's phantom piper, and mind magic** each once per day without having to memorize them or use any of their components.
  • Arcane Knowledge: From reading and studying from Thiondar's spellbooks, Piper has gained the ability to know and identify every spell and item from the Player's Handbook & the Dungeon Master's Guide.
  • Art Conjunctions: In conjuction with permanency, Piper has granted himself the permanent effects of fly, free action, protection from normal missles and comprehend magics.
  • Book of Infinite Spells: Possessing a book of infinite spells, Piper can cast polymorph other 4 times a day; his book has 21 pages remaining.
  • Contingencies: Piper has the following spells protecting his person at all times: blood drakes, invisible mail (base AC 3, absorbs 29 hit points), a contingency that heals him when he reaches 10 hit points or less, and a chain contingency that transports him via teleport without error when at 4 or less hit points to his private room in Spelldance Keep, then Mordenkainen's disjunction on his body, lastly he is subject to a heal spell. When he arrives in his bedroom, the floor bears a superior trigger that resurrects him if neccessary.
  • Links of Life: From the many castings of his 9th-level wizard spell life link, Piper has had his hit point total reduced by 12 hit points.
  • Zone Immunity: As a gift to make up for forever causing Piper's magic to go Wild, the goddess Mystra has granted him the ability for all his spells and magical items to function normally in or around areas where his magic would otherwise be stopped or changed. Thus he is immune and unaffected by areas such as dead and wild magic zones, unless he chooses to be affected by them; even then he may cast spells and use magical items if he so chooses to at a later time.
